Don't know about DA2 yet.

edit.  for the record Carth is my number 1 romance, then Kaidan by a maturity thread, then Alistair.  But in DA:O Alistair was the one I adored the most.

Alistair was both my favorite character and favorite LI in Origins, and in any of the Bioware games I've played. Don't know about DA2, because that will depend on what the characters are like. Can't say I think it will be an easy task to create a whole new cast of characters that inspire the same kind of devotion that the ones in DA:O did, though. They set the bar pretty high. Right now, I'm more interested in Alistair's cameo than any of the DA2 characters.

Morrigan was my favourite, It is much more satisfying when you have to put lots of effort into the relationship, the same reason why sten was one of my favourite companions.



I would say that Isabelle is my choice so far, because I have a small felling that romancing her may not be as easy as it looks

Whether I prefer Alistair or Zevran depends on the day. It has been a very Zevran week. I think if someone told me to commit to a favorite at gunpoint I wouldn't be able to. Morrigan's romance was very poignant, mostly because she reminded me creepily of myself at certain points in my life. I was internally freaking out for most of it.

All the companions in DA2 seem ridiculously interesting so far so no matter which ones emerge as LIs, I'll be happy. I'm easy to please.

I loved both Alistair and Zevran for different reasons.



I don't think my first Lady Hawke's true love has been revealed to the world yet. I'd be more than happy to romance Varric, but I doubt that he's actually a love interest, and Fenris doesn't seem right for the character I have in mind. (Not least because my first Hawke is going to be a 2-handed Warrior, and it looks like he may be one as well.)



I'm crossing my fingers for a male mage. Anders would be great, but I'd settle for someone else.

Favorite romance from DA:O was Zevran by far.

For DAII, I'm hoping for Fenris for my male mage, and (plzMakerplz) Varric for a LadyHawke because that would be unspeakably awesome.

I quite enjoyed the Morrigan romance, but that may just be because it matched my HN's personality (snarky, flirty, thinks-with-his-hormones and coming-of-age). For my Hawke, I'm hoping for a female mage, (preferably a healer because it matches my plan to take along Varric and Fenris), but if not, Isabela, or whichever LI I like the most.

Morrigan, although I have came to appreciate Leliana too. If we had gotten a chance to explore Anora's character more, I think I would of liked her the most, and with what little we got I thought she was awesome.

For my lady Wardens? Zevran.

For DA:2? I can't really say don't know enough about the characters.

I liked Leliana's romance, but then I have a weakness for lady rogues and the red hair on top of that...certainly helped her case that the alternatives were Morrigan and Zevran. I keep meaning to get to Morrigan's romance someday, see what people like about her so much, but my tendency of playing mage characters combined with her unrelenting hatred of the Circle doesn't mesh well. Playing a female Warden, I couldn't *not* romance Alistair. Might be because I'm the shy type (who likes to think he's witty on occasion) in reality, so I could empathize with him.

Oh, right, who in DA2? Well...not sure, just yet. rivalry romance with Isabella could be interesting, but while I'm fond of lady rogues, "pirate" isn't it. Aveline could be interesting too, but it almost feels disrespectful, I had that same problem with Jaheira. Merill, maybe, if she is actually a companion and romanceable. Overall...I'm just going to have to wait and see, I guess.

Alistair, hardened Alistair particularly. I like my men to have some backbone. Alistair also had a cute sense of humour.

Zevran was much more appealing and charming (and tempting) than I first thought.

At the moment my first male Warden is romancing Morrigan, which is quite a challenge and a bit like romancing an angry cat. My Warden however is intrigued and hanging in there. I probably also have a weakness for nice guy/difficult woman romances as my mShep romanced Jack and really liked it...

edit: Oh, I nearly forgot. I have no idea who to romance in DA2. It really depends mostly on the characters, looks are only of secondary importance for me. So no swooning over Fenris just yet...

However, with the recent news about Merrill possibly coming back as a companion I may change my mind. I really liked her in the DE origin and was hoping she'd show up again later in the game but it wasn't meant to be.
P.S. When it was first revealed that Flemeth gives us a package to be delivered to the DE's clan my first thought was "Awesome! Hmmm... I wonder if Merrill will be back, maybe she could even be a companion!" So... IN YOUR FACE!

For me...the answer would probadly be Anora...since that's who all of my 9 HN Males finished origins with...though he did flirt and date Morrigan and Lelianna at times as well. The other 3 males were 2 to 1 in favor of Morrigan( DN and Male Mage).



The 4 more females were 3 to 1 Alistar over Lelianna. I never actually romanced Zevran, just let him hit once for the trophy then told him to keep it away from me the other 3 times...



In DA 2, I think as of what is know right now...

Isabela - yes...for the same reason as crimsomtearz...

Aveline - for now... no, her personality may change my original perception.

varric - no...though that could change.

Fenris - most likely yes...although He maybe the biggest man**** in the game judging from him thread...LOL.

and IF Merril is a companion...then HELL YES!



If anymore are announced , ESPECIALLY on the female side since I am a male( a shy and witty one at that)....then we will see.
