I'm not especially excited about romancing anyone in particular in DA2 because we don't know what dudes are going to be available and I usually prefer dudes.

After them was Zevran for all my elven characters ( females) and Leliana for my human male. DA2? Well, no one right now. For sure as a male Hawke will not romance with Aveline ( too similar to Jaheira in my mind) and Isabele, also Fenris is not interesting for me as an LI .

I also downloaded the Ser Gilmore mod.  I loved Alistair, I hated all of the ending choices.  So Ser Gilmore is now my romance option.

Okay, just curious...why did you hate becoming Princess Consort?

 

Because in order to be Princess Consort I had to send him to a witch to have sex.  I know a lot of people do not mind sharing their LI but I'll never forgive this plot devise.  Unless there was an ending I missed the only way you could both survive was to marry him off to Anora or sex him off with witch girl.  Such is life.

DAII? I'm interested to find out how the Isabela romance goes. I think people have too easily dismissed her as an "easy" option. Surely, assuming she is, like, promiscuous and that, there'll be some twist, or some explanation as to why she is the way she is. I assume she'll be a detailed character.

If you take Zevran with you when you first meet Isabela in Denerim, they discuss it. Basically Zevran had a contract to kill Isabela's husband, and she mentions she didn't like him anyway.

There's also an amusing aside about the guy apparently walking in on the two of them while making out, and Zevran being forced to flee out the window completely naked.

OK, you've clinched it for me. Isabela first - because she has to be interesting. Maybe she'll tell the Zevran story.

Much as I like the inclusion of same sex romances, I usually don't get around to them until the 4th or so playthrough. But, I'm going to have to play Lady Hawke first too, so ..... Actually, I don't know why I've never played a same sex romance first, I'll reflect on it.
