Hi, this is my first post.
In ME1 I romanced Liara as a male Shepard to the main romance scene. I presume this is the full extent of a romance.
In ME2, I was disapointed to see that Liara didn't seem to recognise me at all and business was business.
I then stopped playing ME2 for a while but recently came back to the series to play Shadowbroker and the other DLCs. Much to my horror, on reading the walkthrough at the ME Wiki, it seems that there is meant to be a romance scene at the end of the DLC.
However, it hasn't seemed to work for me even though my ME1 Shepard was imported. There was no kiss at all even though I followed the nicest route possible throughout. I activated one paragon as well near the start of the DLC.
Is this a bug or have I not done the romance right? I followed all the romance sub plots for Liara in ME1 untill the sex scene and have been as nice as possible to her in ME2. Why doesn't she seem to recognise an/or like my Shepard anymore?

Are you sure you've imported the correct Shepard? If the Liara romance flag is active, then the earliest indication of the relationship's presence in LotSB is after the third Paragon interrupt at Hotel Azure, after Vasir is defeated. Shepard will tell Liara that she wishes to talk "about us."
Failing that, you can always check the desk in Shepard's cabin. If there is a photograph of Liara placed there, then the romance is active. If it does not continue in LotSB, then I think you've encountered a bug or have imported the wrong Shepard.

Well I only had one Character on ME1, so I presume it's the right one - it looks the same!
I only recall one paragon situation, but I do often get up with my headphones on and listen to cutscenes rather then watch them so maybe I missed something.
I have romanced Miranda completely in ME2 as I assumed Liara didn't like me anymore
Can you have more than one love interest?
On a side note, Shepard seems upset at the end of the talk on the Normandy and says he hopes he will see her soon very dejectedly.
I cant check my cabin now, but I will tomorrow.

I *highly* doubt there is a bug associated with the romance. Make sure you've imported the right save; sometimes you could make the mistake of importing the wrong Shepard if you have a full list of them. As long as you can see Liara's photograph on your desk, you're in the safe zone.
EDIT: If you've romanced Miranda, Liara will acknowledge this and outburst. From what I've heard, it is possible to "regain" her romance when this happens. However, your description in the OP sounds a lot like LOTSB with a non-romanced Liara to me.

If she wasn't in the opening cutscene, you have imported a wrong Shepard.

You are able to reconcile the romance with Liara if you cheated on her, but she will angrily comment on Shepard's ME2 LI when challenged about the relationship on Azure.
Here, check out this video. It will show you the best possible way to reconcile the Liara romance during LotSB's ending. It shows the immediate aftermath of the Shadow Broker's defeat, and the romance scene with Liara back onboard the Normandy. If none of these options are available, then you've either imported the wrong Shepard, or the game is bugged.

At the very start of the second game, she was the one who escaped in the pod. I believe this means that she is fully romanced and I imported the right Shepard?
I recon I've cocked something up but that the game bug wise is fine! Human error...
I suppose I could replay Shadow broker, I have a save just under an hour before it at the Normandy crash site. If I get all the paragon interrupts will it actually change anything or does she already not like me!
[Edit] I watched that clip, the hug takes place but nothing more...

Well, there's the Mass Effect 2 Xbox 360 Technical Support forum, located here. If you were to recreate this thread over there, then you might receive an answer to the problem you're experiencing.
At the very least, I'd recommend reimporting your ME1 Shepard into ME2, and starting LotSB immediately after Horizon in order to ascertain whether it was merely a problem with that specific save file. It's a few hours' work, but it might be worthwhile to discover the nature of your problem.
I hope the problem is rectified ASAP. You're missing out on some truly beautiful romance development and progression!

Surely then I will not have any of my storyline from ME2 for ME3? Liara was always my favourite character and I really hope this works...

Yeah, the idea is to reimport your ME1 Shepard into ME2, and begin LotSB as soon as possible in order to ascertain that it was not a problem with that specific save file. If that does turn out to be the case, then it would be worthwhile to restart ME2 completely, and prepare a new canon save of your storyline for import into ME3.

Surely the beggining of the game with the escape pod confirms the romance though? I thought that's how it showed who you had the best relationship with?
Maybe another full playthrough will be benificial as I still don't have the achievement fir the hardest difficulty...

Yeah, but it seems that the romance flag is not active for some bizarre reason. If there is a problem with that specific save file, it would be worthwhile to reimport your ME1 Shepard into ME2, and create a new file. That could solve your problem.

Right, I managed to start again and skip as much as possible to get to the LotSB...and it didnt work. She doesn't seem to like me at all even though I am nice

You save is most likely corrupted. You're probably going to have to try another playthrough, or wait for the Genesis Comic.

Aw, I'm very sorry to hear that it's not working properly. I agree with TMA: it might be worthwhile to wait for the Genesis comic if you're eager to continue Liara's romance.
