I'll buy pretty much anything right now.

I'd probably skip something revolving around either Ashley or Kaidan though. Boring characters would probably make for boring DLC.

Liara was/is one of my least favourite ME1 characters (and yes I do find her boring), LOtSB was still a really enjoyable DLC - despite it being Liara focused.

Here's what I'd like.

The VS shows up with an N7 snatch team - you are to help them take in the Illusive Man. Which you can do (he's taken into custody but later escapes...), or allow him to get away. Then at the end, the VS reveals they're also here to take in Shepard. Shep can surrender (paragon), or try to fight it out - cue Blake's 7 style ending (renegade). Can kill the VS, suicide mission survivors can die too (thin out the crowd ready for ME3).

Then, move on to Shepard's court martial. Quite a few loose ends could be tied up here. All the folk you've helped/hindered can testify. Get to meet Admiral Hacket, etc, etc. Air out the Reaper threat.

Just before the verdict: "Continued in Mass Effect 3".

Therefore letting ME3 start in the same place, whether you played the dlcs or not (trial can be told in flashback summary), and a new conceit to allow for changing appearance and class (prison entry...). Illusive Man free (and either an ally or enemy) but Cerberus co-opted by Alliance, the Normandy, Joker, Jacob etc drafted back.

Then, bamm, the Reapers appear, all is forgiven, Shep released, Spectre status reactivated, if necessary, everyone going: "Please Commander, save us from the monsters!" Of you go to commandeer the Normandy and knock heads...

I think a trial of some sort would be a cool way of addressing how (un)convinced the Council/Alliance are about the Reaper threat, but putting it (a big massive talky sequence) at the beginning of a game would be a foolhardy move - perfect for DLC, though.

Anyway, just my 0.02 creditsworth.

Wrex, however something connected to a Geth-Quarian conflict would be cool too.

But I suppose the DLC will be about VS, or the forums will be full of rage *sigh*

As long as it's a story DLC I'll buy it. If it's something like new weapon packs or alternate costums then there's no way I'll buy it.

Tali finds out she's been a lesbian all along and Miranda decides to walk around in a tiny bikini. :D

Seriously, any DLC with the quality of LotSB is an instant buy.

I will buy the new DLC without question IF it involves Kaidan or Ashley in it somehow as more than a mention or a brief cameo, or if their important role for ME3 is revealed.

I don't expect Kaidan or Ashley to be the sole focus. Something along the lines of LotSB, that develops their characters and involves an overarching plot (preferably something that can influence the events of ME3, such as figuring out just what is going on between the Alliance and Cerberus).

But I do have high hopes and expectations that two of my favourite characters will be involved somehow in the next DLC.

I know Casey Hudson said that they were being saved for ME3, but there is a difference between being saved and being neglected, and their role is toward the latter. Besides a brief encounter on Horizon, and from what TIM, Anderson, and Liara say, there is basically no mention whatsoever--and there was plenty of opportunity to mention them more.

I have done my part to support BioWare and give them funds to make DLC through purchasing LotSB, Stolen Memories, Overlord, and some other merchandise. I expect to see Ashley and Kaidan in screenshots and promos for the DLC. If it doesn't--even if props ME2's story for ME3--then whether I purchase it or not is questionable.

A tiny part of me hopes it's not, just to see what would surely be a most glorious incandescence of white-hot nerdrage that would live in internet legend for untold ages to come.  The only thing Bioware could do to top it would be to make the DLC about the Virmire Survivor.......

...snuffing it.

Size and quality. If this to be the last of the bridging DLCs before ME3, I would like a VERY substantial addition.
  • No less than 10 hours.
  • New weapons and armour
  • Cerberus or Alliance
  • Continuation of the Geth storyline
  • VS
  • More interactions with crew, squad and LIs
  • The departure of squad members who will not be returning in ME3 or who not be team members
  • New worlds/hubs that are revisitable
  • Mysteries to unravel concerning the Reapers and the extinction of other species
  • Overall advancement of the main plot

One or more of the following:

A revisit into the Lazarus Project to explore just what Cerberus did to ressurect Shepard, and what the "extra parts" might entail.

The Virmire Survivor, a chance at reconcilliation and an exploration into the activities of the Alliance, particularly in the light of Shepard's return.

Collectors, part 2.  A deeper look at the Collector/Reaper's ultimate plan at the base (ie what they were hoping to accomplish).  Perhaps with foreshadowing concerning the Reaper attack plan going into ME 3

Armor/banter pack  Armored outfits for those who don't have them, inter-party dialogue among squaddies while on missions.  Yeah small chance of that happening, but it would be a "must buy" in my book Posted Image

I need a couple things.

a) for it to move the story forward and tie up some loose ends regarding the Alliance/Cerberus

B)...

Eh who am I kidding. As long as it has Ashley in it I'll pay double.

This!  Because more content is more content.  But I honestly hope anything else that comes out is not like Firewalker.

i would buy anything that gives me a reason to replay one last time. Extra weapons/suits arn't gonna make me do that. Any mission like shadow broker, overlord or Kasumi will make me play one last time in preps for mess effect 3. I only finished ME2 once and i am replaying it at the moment (downloaded all content) im quite sad i didnt see they would release one more els i might have waited :)

i never downloaded pinnicle station, every other DLC for ME and DA:O i bought, so yeah im easely tempted hehe.

Yeah, if they do it, then community will consider Bioware Bazzar to be a small incident compared to this.

Don't you think you are asking too much for one dlc.

Some people expect way too much out of a single DLC.

I'll be happy if it's at least on par with LotSB.

i really hope the Virmire survivor is in the new DLC. The story could revolve around Anderson and the VS being part of a Reaper-investigation unit, something they wanted to let you in on in ME2 but couldn't because you worked for Cerberus. Unfortunately time is running out and they are forced to ask for your help. you meet up with Anderson and the VS on the Citadel (lets say somewhere like Flux) and go along with the VS to investigate something Reaper-related.

At the end, the VS (or LI) tells you that its great to work with you again, and ANderson invites you back to the Alliance. Here you can have the option of staying with Cerberus, or rejoining the ALliance.

It would be a great end to ME2 and could introduce some important elements for ME3. PLUS you could rekindle your LI.

Anything with actual missions and story will be an instant buy for me. If its appearance or weapons pack, i will skip it.

If it continues the story after ME2 it's an instant buy for me. If it is a weapons/armor pack, I'd have to think about it and look at the specs to see if they are worth buying....but I'd end up buying it anyway. If it's an appearance pack (which it most likely isn't...Bioware wouldn't hype up an appearance pack this much) I won't get it unless Tali gets an outfit.
