What kind of revelation or plot development would get you angry at how ME3 turned out?

For me it would be anything that put Shepard as some kind of chosen one, someone who was special from the begginning.

Also, I think explaining the origins of the Reapers might be tricky. The way they've been presented, as extremely ancient and mysterious, it is the kind of thing that can set really high expectations for an origin story. Maybe it is the kind of thing that is better left unexplained.

That the reaper's origination involved Justin Bieber somehow. That kid seems to be everywhere, and having him consume all life in the galaxy doesn't seem too far-fetched.

if they did the 'it was only a dream' ending i would really be angry about.

but to be honest so as long as they do not do that I will be happy with whatever they decide all of the Bioware games I have been on has had great endings and never felt angry etc about.

If they incorporate something ridiculous like time-travel... eurgh.

Also, if any massive plot holes are left.. eg. The Geth-Quarian War, Rachni, Illusive Man's actions after ME2 etc..

If you remember in ME1 when speaking with Sovereign you ask who created them and he does not answer.  Simply says something about them being infinite, eternal, etc.  I highly doubt they will try to explain their origins.

If they do explain their originins and their "creators" somehow left you an ancient weapon for you to destroy them because they foresaw the Reaperrs evil.  That would be terrible.  Thankfully, I have more faith in Bioware.

Or, if they end ME3 with a wedding between Shep and the love interest I will be pissed.  That would be so utterly cliche.  Bioware is better than that type of garbage, predictable ending.

Plot holes. ME3 needs to tie up all the lose ends to a decent degree, but that sounds hard as there are SO many things left to be answered.

They have to though.  They're robots.  Someone had to originally build them and then they went crazy nuts like the Geth.

I'll be pissed if they don't try to explain where they came from.  I'm expecting some sort of revelations about who originally created the Reapers, and for what reason they created them.

No helmet toggle

No vehicle exploration on uncharted worlds with hazardous conditions (like ME1 but improved)

No squad armor

No elevators

Mission complete screens

PRESS F TO END MISSION

Teleporting from Normandy to Hub worlds

Hub worlds a flat big room with halls like in ME2

No Loot or stores with 3 things to sell like in ME2

Scanning/mining

not being allowed to walk on the presidium when the environment is already made like in ME2

If they try and give ME3 some kind of artsy fartsy ending that is not satisfying like not actually defeating the reapers or time travel or some kind of deus ex machina virus. Make it hardcore fight for survival, with fleet on fleet war.

If they used Dragon Age's plot and we had to recruit the Quarians, Geth, Asari, etc to all team up and stop the Reapers. Oh wait...

Well, at least there isn't some War of the Worlds type thing with the Reapers attacking Earth en mass, making everything we did in the prior two games mostly pointless. Er... Hmmm.

Hopefully everyone in the galaxy won't be looking up at Shepard like some kind of space messiah... Alas... /sigh

Multiplayer.

If it was completely separate (ie. doesn't involve Shepard) then it could work... I'm open to new features, but I'm just hoping they spend 110% of dev time polishing the story.

Cause the story writers would be the same people implementing multiplayer?

1. If the only way to defeat the Reapers is to get a ULTIMATE WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION capable of desintigrating the Reaper fleet in a single blast. I'd much rather they take a head on Reapers vs. Galaxy approach.

2. If companion armor wasn't customizable the same as Sheps.

3. If the Hammerhead or any other vehicles for that matter were put in.

4. If we had to recruit an entirely new team...... again.

5. Multiplayer

6. If there was limited squad banter like ME2.

7. If decisions from previous games didn't make that big of a difference.

If there is some cliche ending I am going to go to biowares head office and slap someone with my game box. And if I end up buying it on steam i'll think of something...

The council still ignoring the threat of the reapers, particularly if you left Anderson in charge. How pig-headed are these characters?

Things that would make me upset:
1. Lack of a sophisticated loot system
2. Lack of planet exploration
3. No helmet toggle
4. Lack of diverse weaponry including "big bang" weapons like M920 Cain. I love lots of weapons.
5. I would like to see a better melee system, like brutal melees. Im probably in the minority on this, but I love melee combat.
6. Please make mining way less painful! Give me a way to send a certain amount of teams from ship to different planets, and let them mine over time. Honestly, I want this crap taken almost completely out of my hands.
7. Lack of more armor options. We need more armors and lots more ways to customize them, to include stat customization. Some of my favorite armors from both games have been the least pleasing asthetically. Also, let me mix and match!
8. I would like grenades back, and improved from ME 1.
9. Totally off the wall here, but I would like to have the ability to call some major artillery from ship while I am on a mission planet-side.

I am honestly only worried about actual gameplay features instead of story. I have always been a huge fan of biowares story capability, and im sure they'll give us a great finish to shepards story.

If they end it on a cliff hanger for the sake of spin-offs, that would be pretty annoying.

I would be most upset if we don't get an acceptable vehicle to drive around in. (F*ck off Hammerhead!) I would also be disappointed if I have to gather new teammates even though I always manage to keep the ME2 team alive every playthrough, and I'd be mildly miffed if character interaction is reduced again like in ME2 and if we get an anti-climatic ending to Shepard's story.

Pretty sure the reapers are basically super ancient geth-like AI, that rebelled against their creators, developed all powerful tech, wiped out the galaxy, and that have erased their own humble origins from their mind, so now they literally think of themselves as gods.

At least, that's what I always assumed.  I guess I could see how that explanation would be underwhelming for some people.

I'm actually fine with not knowing the origins. I fear that whatever they try and do to explain it might be worse than not knowing.

As for what will ****** me off, if we got some sort of ending of the quality of Lost/Sopranos that just totally feels like a let down or rip off after so much time and energy on the games. I want epic and I want an ending that feels complete and satisfying.

Tali's Bucket Head !

Jokes Aside :
If we had the same damn hairstyle . Don't mean to be girly and all...but my Male Shep looks like the guy off of The Hangover ... y'know what , never mind .
Like one of the earlier threads , I hear that Mass Effect 3 will have one of the features that were used in Alpha Protocal ... making quick decisions ?
I'd hate that  . The second game was better than Number one .
Don't make Mass Effect 3 ruin the Legacy .

A crappy ending, Reapers focusing exclusively on Earth without a really good explanation, and having to recruit a whole new team again.
