What would piss you off in ME3?

Sci Fi is supposed to be an existential metaphor, exploration of the human condition, rifed with symbolism and small stories that individually explore different themes- fatherhood, responsibility, honor, an idealistic person living in a rotten universe- stuff like that. ME2 hinted on such, but never explored them and all you were left with was a bunch of started but never finished stories with SOME promise.

Multiplayer.
If it was completely separate (ie. doesn't involve Shepard) then it could work... I'm open to new features, but I'm just hoping they spend 110% of dev time polishing the story.
Cause the story writers would be the same people implementing multiplayer?

What kind of revelation or plot development would get you angry at how ME3 turned out?
For me it would be anything that put Shepard as some kind of chosen one, someone who was special from the begginning.
Also, I think explaining the origins of the Reapers might be tricky. The way they've been presented, as extremely ancient and mysterious, it is the kind of thing that can set really high expectations for an origin story. Maybe it is the kind of thing that is better left unexplained.
-If the "lost crypt of the beings of light" is used as a deus ex machina to swoop in and save the galaxy at the last minute
-If the "leviathan of dis" is used as a deus ex machina to swoop in and save the galaxy at the last minute
-If some magnificent lost Prothean tech is used as a deus ex machina to swoop in and save the galaxy at the last minute
-If a lost colony of Protheans themselves are used as a deus ex machina to swoop in and save the galaxy at the last minute
-If anything at all is used as a deus ex machina to swoop in and save the galaxy at the last minute--are you seeing the trend here?

Doctor Chakwas: You had us worried there, Shepard. How are you feeling?
Shepard: Minor throbbing; nothing serious. How long was I out?
Doctor Chakwas: About six years. Don't try to move; your muscles have atrophied from disuse. Do you want something to drink?
Shepard: Six years!? But... What happened to the Reapers?
Doctor Chakwas: Reapers? I'm not sure what you mean. Something happened down there on Eden Prime with the beacon, I think. I've been detecting some unusual brain activity--abnormal beta waves. I also noticed an increase in your rapid-eye-movement, signs typically associated with intense dreaming.
Shepard: But the Reapers... Death... Destruction... We have to stop them!
Doctor Chakwas: It sounds like it was quite a dream. You should try to relax. Are you... Oh. Custodian Anderson.
Custodian Anderson: How is he holding up, Doctor?
Doctor Chakwas: Well, all the readings look normal, but he seems to be suffering from mild dementia.
Custodian Anderson: I see. I'd like to speak to Shepard alone.
Doctor Chakwas: As you wish.
Shepard: Captain Anderson, what's going on?
Custodian Anderson: It's Custodian now. I was relieved of duty after punching Ambassador Udina in the face "unprovoked". The only work I could find was as a janitor at this hospital in the wards. It's a long story, Shepard. It's been years since Eden Prime.
Shepard: Eden Prime? What about the Reapers?
Custodian Anderson: I don't know anything about "Reapers", but it turned out that the colonists on Eden Prime were part of some violent cult that worshipped prothean beacons. They believed that the devastating seizures and delusions it caused were prophetic "visions". Even Gunnery Chief Williams bought in to it, joining your squad and lying to you to get the prothean artifact back. Damn "beacon-heads".
Anyway, Saren had been doing reconnaissance for months, trying to infiltrate the cult. He had to kill Nihlus to maintain his cover. *sigh* Spectres.
Shepard: But the geth...
Custodian Anderson: You mean the synthetics on the colony? Alenko thought the same thing. Those weren't actually geth; they were just a newer model of maintenance robot that Saren re-programmed to defend him.
Shepard: But the Reapers... The Reapers... They're gonna liquify us and pump us into their veins... I'm the only hope for humanity...
Custodian Anderson: Are you feeling okay? Do you mind if I eat your lunch when it arrives?

If they incorporate something ridiculous like time-travel... eurgh.
Also, if any massive plot holes are left.. eg. The Geth-Quarian War, Rachni, Illusive Man's actions after ME2 etc..
yeah no plot holes!

2 - Crappy development of the existing romances just to have the space for some new ones.
3 - Unavoidable death of Shepard and/or of the team at the end of the game.
4 - Less interaction between squadmates, just to have the space to make new ones.

Another crappy VS cameo (!)
Even less interaction between and with squadmates.
That's what comes to mind so far.

- linear missions
- hub worlds made into shopping malls instead of actual (big) hubs
- no puzzles (don't care what kind of puzzles, I want puzzles)
- too many squaddies
- another underdeveloped story with plot holes
- no variation between and most importantly during missions
- the game being centered all around humans and Earth
- multiplayer

No helmet toggle
No vehicle exploration on uncharted worlds with hazardous conditions (like ME1 but improved)
No squad armor
No elevators
Mission complete screens
PRESS F TO END MISSION
Teleporting from Normandy to Hub worlds
Hub worlds a flat big room with halls like in ME2
No Loot or stores with 3 things to sell like in ME2
Scanning/mining
not being allowed to walk on the presidium when the environment is already made like in ME2
If they try and give ME3 some kind of artsy fartsy ending that is not satisfying like not actually defeating the reapers or time travel or some kind of deus ex machina virus. Make it hardcore fight for survival, with fleet on fleet war.
I find myself once again agreeing with one of your posts.
But I also must add that it would ****** me off if their choice of DRM requires a constant connection to the internet. THankfully they have not done this yet with any of their games to my knowledge. I cannot reliably provide such a connection which is why it would irritate me to no end. Some companies such as Ubisoft have adopted this and is the reason I totally stopped buying and playing their games. I think I would be not only be angry but depressed over not being able to play the games of my favorite developer.

1. Too much emotional squad banter what has nothing to do with missions or squad members jobs.
2. Looting useless stuff to sell for money and cleaning inventories
3. No vehicle driving at all or it's like some damm arcade shooter, like Hammerhead was
4. Favoured squad members aren't there at all, forced to build totally new squad again
5. If weapon combat would be like in ME1
