Hey guys I purhased ME2 new when it first came out, but never bothered to activate my cerberus network stuff. Now that I'm planning to play through ME2 again but with all the new DLCs I'm just have a couple questsions. I know I need to activate the network by entering the code online, the things is that the email I used to register for this and the EA account aren't the same as the email for my gamertag. I'm just wondering if I entered the code on this site would I be basically wasting the cerberus network card. I've also been reading about linking acounts with EA for this stuff as well, but I can't find the option anywhere. Basically how do I know that my EA and Bioware accounts are connected to my gamertag so that I won't be wasting cerberus code.

I know this is an OLD problem, but I'd really apreciated if anyone can help me out, thanks.

Not sure if your accounts are linked? Check under Profile>Your Registered game promotions - if EA knows you have any connections through XBL or the PSN, it should be listed at the top.  Also, all your DLC you currently own should be listed - make sure it's all for the correct console (im guessing XB360).

If it doesn't list my console tag, how do i link my accounts? First, you should log into EA through the game (the credentials should be the same info that you use to log onto the BSN) - the fact that your gamertag has a different email address shouldn't matter, in this case.  After logging in, the game should prompt you to activate the Cerberus Network through a purchase or a promo code - THIS is the opportune time to use the code that came with the game.  If it doesn't prompt you, explore the menu to see if theres a manual option.  A basic walkthrough of this process should be available on the promotions list (the first link) by clicking "More Info" next to any DLC unlocked for a gaming console (link <-- not sure if it will work).  Doing this should create a Persona on your EA 'Master' account for your gamertag, effectively linking the accounts - or at the very least, it'll send an email to the email account used for XBLive registration explaining what needs to be done.

You could also try to do this through your EA account.  To attempt, access your account online through the EA website (they made this nice and complicated - easiest way is to just type in the address profile.ea.com), and check your Personas (should be a section on it - below Preferences and above Contact Options).  You probably have at least two already - one represesnting your EA ID and another representing the game you have registered (MassEffect2_#####).  Go ahead and click "Add Persona" and you'll be presented with a list of choices, one of which is a Gamertag.  So, select it and input your Gamertag...if it works - YAY, if it doesn't work - it'll explain why.  Even if it succeeds, you will still need to eventually log into EA through the game in order to start downloading the DLC onto your console.

Can't i just input the code online through the site?  As I have never tried unlocking the Cerberus code for a console through the BSN or ME2's website, a 'for sure' answer from me would be reckless.  I'd say it depends on how they set up the code; if it's particular enough for the system (BSN) to know that its not only a Cerberus code but also strictly for the XB360, then it really shouldn't matter how you go about redeeming it.  However, if the code is generic to the point that it will attribute the DLC by whichever means you use to redeem the code, then there's the potential for the Cerberus code being attributed towards the PC version of ME2 if you use a PC to redeem the code.  Even if the later is the case, you should be able to straighten it out over an EA Support Case - as in, you wouldn't be 'wasting the code'.

If this info doesn't help, you could always contact EA Support (pref. Live Chat) with your concerns...
