Some things I would like to see...
  • Con (consider) mechanism - like MMO, a color representing difficulty on the text above the enemies head - great addition.
  • Respec - Implemented! :). How about a panel to save a couple of specs?
  • Log - stuff scrolls by so fast.. a log of more than the conversation (rarely useful) would be very helpful (what loot I just got, the xp, etc). Rather than “Item received”... how about the icon of what I received and show it’s name? And the damage dealt so it can be reviewed!
  • Gifts - interesting system - a bit too easy to abuse.
  • Bag space - selling 10 slots at a time is nice, but the amount of loot just demands so much more. Portal of town or much bigger bags? Or put a vendor in my pack :P
  • Items - if it’s vendor trash, please give a little clearer note to that fact. Not saying you need to blatantly say it’s for a particular quest but, cmon... (see: bag space) :-/
  • Targeting - how about a panel with a portrait of the target and it’s health/mana ? No idea what i’m targeting when there’s a ton of enemies.
  • Quest tracking - i like the marker in the log, how about tracking on the main screen with the number of items collected (if it’s a collection quest).
  • Subclasses - ugh, nice and hidden. Well, those that weren’t at a vendor I just happened to find them at. (One enemy that tried to kill me -- I killed him back. Wait! He can train you).  >.<
  • Spells - you have to dig through mediocre spells to get to the good stuff? Why not more like a tree? Only have direct branching where one related spell branches and is required to reach a more powerful version of it’s child?
  • Inventory - sorting doesn’t appear to work correctly (i.e new items, not always at the top when using that sort). When stealing... you click on the “Received items” floater and you just see the inventory window... where is the item? A color flash on the “new”ly received items would be helpful (like you did in KOTOR :))
  • Autorun - Run, run, run as fast as you can! You can’t catch me! I’m the gingerbread man! I’m not the monster here, you are! *ahem*. Autorun. Not my gumdrop buttons! Ok I’ll stop.
  • Loot - holy crap on a stick... loot all without a dialog box popping up every time?

classes - Rogue
  • Backstab - Love the idea, it’s pulling it off that’s sad.  How do I get there? How do you backstab in a large group and you can’t move? “Fade Slip - the rogue passing into the fade and manuevers behind the enemy to attack from behind”... yeah, like that. :-)
DLC

Warden’s Keep - Couldn’t finish <quest> because the keep is CLOSED? If we get the keep to use as a base, why are we limited to standing on the front porch and a chest to put our things in? For such a wonderful game... this is lame.

Overall

Dragon Age, Mass Effect... they’re MMO’s without all the annoying players.

The Circle of Magi - the Fade... wow what a blast that was! The forms you used to get around and solve the puzzle. Very cool. I was sad that it had to end!

Revenents are teh suck. Actually they’re fine by themselves... it’s their 30 wanker friends that sucks.

Morrigan = buzzkill.

Too many things you want on the main screen, and some things you ask for already are. The person you are fighting is highlighted, and if you pause the game, they have a special group of arrows sort of pulsating in addition to the red ring under them. I recommend pausing more often. But to have all the things you want on the main screen will just clutter the intereface, and most games have too much clutter in the interface.... I would much rather have it more cinematic and go look things up if I need to. Adds to immersion.

I can examine things in my inventory to see what damage items do, I don't want that on the screen. But *what* item received would be nice. As for other things scrolling too fast, well....I've never noticed that at all. Perhaps you read a bit more slowly than I or perhaps when things are scrolling they are more difficult to read.

Some of the items you mention come with experience, and I gather you've only gone through the game once. Some folks have probably finsihed it a half dozen times or more, and some of these things become academic at that point. (which things...play through as a mage, and as a warrior...by which time, I guess, you'll have the answer to your question.

I don't want to play an mmo.... and i don't want my screen cluttered.
I agree with you 100% about the warden's keep. Locking us out after it was finished is ridiculous.
