I'm telling you, flanging voice. It cannot be underestimated or duplicated by anything without mandibles.

Yeah, how are asari furries??

Or quarians.  We have no idea what they look like.  The only thing a bit off about them that we see are their feet and hands.

The only reason I romance aliens (Liara as male shep, Thane as female shep) is because I like their personalities better than the humans. If a human had Thane's personality (okay the voice helps too Image IPB) I'd gladly go for him, but I'm just not that interested in Miranda, Jacob, Jack, or Ashley. (I do love me some Kaiden though.) I think for a lot of people it's also just because they're curious/fascinated by the concept. After all, these species don't exist in real life, so to explore sexuality in a way that goes beyond what's actually possible can be quite intriguing. The same reason some people are "furries."

yes yes it can!!!!! bury your face between two buttcheeks and speak. Works perfectly well. although, i know better things to do than talking while buried there xD

If you feel this discussion gets out of hand, then your feeling might be right!

PS: This discussion is pointless since it is not going anywhere. People try to explain their decisions reasonably to the OP who's not interested in reasoning at all.

It is reasonable to assume that there's strong evolutionary pressure against attraction to members of other species (since it is, by definition of "species", impossible to breed with members of a different species). Therefore, one should expect the vast majority of people to be attracted to members of their own species only. Whence attraction to members of a different species will seem "wrong" to the vast majority of people.

Yes, and it is also reasonable to assume that there's strong evolutionary pressure against attraction to members of THE SAME SEX (it is impossible to breed with members of the same sex too)???
I'm sorry to see how attraction to members of a different RACE still seems wrong to the vast majority of people here on Earth, so why should I expect a different behaviour towards aliens?

P.S. I'm not gay, I'm not black and I'm not an alien...

About the "Furry" thing... aliens look like lizards or other animals? Maybe we look like naked monkeys to them....

 it's not really disgusting since you aren't technically the one doing it :P

So you mean that if you do it for real it is disgusting? Two people of different species who make love are disgusting?
Even if they're in love?
May I ask you why?
There are people  who are still convinced that love relationships among different human races are disgusting.
May I ask you where is the difference?

I don't know why you feel offended.
I was just saying that I probably wouldn't what to sleep with a blue girl with tentacles on her head myself, but if someone does it's none of my business.
I believe in love and people who love each other deserves to be together.

And what of it? Is it a sin should a person wish to have sex with an alien, or a thousand?

Personality for me ... Although I have an extreme soft spot for Yvonne ... So Miranda also gets a bit of lovin' from that. But most of it goes to the blue chicks ;)

It would be nice to have a Legion romance in ME3.

Like many others here, it boils down to personality compatibility for me. I was drawn much more to Tali and Liara's personalities, than I was to Ashley or Miranda or Jack's.

 Well in my playthroughs from the two games I romanced both humans and aliens. In ME1 I first romanced Ashley and in the second Liara, I chose her for my playthroughs in ME2 because I like her sensitive personality comparing to Ashley who is a little too rough but that doesn't make her a bad LI. In the second episode I romanced in my first playthrough Tali, again not because she's an alien but because of her personality and the fact I didn't take her much under my shepard's wing as a squadmate in ME1 and on another playthrough as a renegade I romanced Jack because she made a perfect LI for my ruthless Shepard and for another playthrough I was a faithful lover to Liara. In the end, I don't really care if my LI is an alien or a human or not it's about liking the character. I never romanced Miranda for the moment but I think she would make a good LI given the fact that she brought Shepard to life it would be "return of politeness" ! Writing these lines I can't stop thinking TIM also "romanced" a Matriarch even if this indication from the Shadow Broker's file may be a joke from the developers. ( I always thought a scene showing a Matriarch going inside TIM's mind, like Liara did for Shepard, would fit well in the story whether it appears on game, novel or comic)

To to furry haters;

You do realise you owe your very existance to 2 apelike creatures having intercourse?

Besides which, its a game, allowing you to do things you cant normally do in reality. Do you punch every reporter you see? Do you wave a gun under everyones nose just because they dont give you the information you desire? Do any of you have the ability to wave your hand and have a blob of blue energy explode your target?

If you dont want to romance an alien, then dont do it. Simple. Otherwise, go back to playing Minesweeper, or Solitaire.

Well, how about Miranda creeps me out, because her representation in the game looks like a female Michael Jackson? Especially with the botox facial expressions.

The original question (which you have not quoted) was:

So you mean that if you do it for real it is disgusting? Two people of different species who make love are disgusting?
Even if they're in love?
May I ask you why?
There are people who are still convinced that love relationships among different human races are disgusting.

It seemed that the first line of my post, "puts on advocatus diaboli hat" vanished when quoted. Of course the argument is flawed (evolutionary psychology generally fails to adequately explain human behaviour); however, if one was to draw a line somewhere (which I *don't* think we should) it would probably be at the species boundary.

<vanishing line />
