I agree with you, somehow... we shouldn't draw a biologic line; if you're a Quarian or a Turian or a Human does not depend on your choice. Your soul does. My personal line separates bad people from good, I'd stay with a good Turian rather than with a bad Human...
The inner message in ME (I hope I'm using the right words because I'm not anglosaxon and I'm always afraid of unintentional humour in my posts)
is IMHO that there are heroes and jerks among any race and any species, aliens are just people like us, with heroes and jerks.Only a common enemy like the Reapers will make the species of the Galaxy understand that they're one big species alltogether: the organics, and they'll have to fight side by side for everybody's sake.
