Probably a futile request, but no more Claudia Black please!

Sorry but just like movies and TV shows, a "big" named actor pulls in the viewers. I always look to see who the VA's are on games. I make a point of reading through the end credits just to see if I was right about a particular carracter or if there were any stars that I missed.
I like hearing famous voices in games so don't stop it!
So do I, I'm not saying that she's a bad actress, I'm just confused why they would make her act using her regular "recognizable" voice when she can obviously do awesome voices like when she did the bartender on Illium.
Especially when she has so many other game roles that use the same exact voice...
Okay.....I GET what you're saying. Well....I'm not sure why she uses the same voice, but my only reason could be is that perhaps by using a different voice than her own, it might hurt her throat. Or perhaps it might be the voice acting director's decision on what voice to use for a character.
I know that Mark Hamill has the same issues when it comes to the Joker (now mostly because he's older) and which is why after Arkham City, he's done doing the voice of the Joker (yes...it's a sad day
Some actors only HAVE the one vocal range; if they have others, it might be hard for them to do over lengthy periods of time. Is it possible to train your range? Sure....I've done it over years of RPing myself as a GM; but not everyone wants to have that range.
Usually, actors that work mainly as voice actors have an easier time with that range (i.e. Mark Meer and Jennifer Hale). When it comes to Nolan North, I don't think he really has that much of a difference in his range. He's still a good voice actor regardless.

I personally would enjoy having her as a new Squaddie to replace the old.

There's something seriously wrong with me hearing Anderson talk and next thing I know I'm imagining him and my FemShep crammed into the door of the men's bathroom on the Normandy watching a screaming Garrus frantically try to "unzip himself" with EDI dropping down from the ceiling vent and angrily demanding to know how he managed to get the zipper all the way to the top.

If Claudia Black being recognizable is so bad, what about Keith David?

Even worse Keith David mental image: ever seen Requiem For A Dream?

Did you know that she's also the voice of the matriarch-bartender Aethyta (possible mother of Liara) and Rachni's representative on Illium? I had no idea it was her until I specifically looked for the info. For me, voice changing ability is an indicator that actor is good enough at voice-overs.BiancoAngelo7 wrote...
But for me it's really horrible when I run into a character like Xen or whatever Claudia Black's character was called in ME2 when Ive heard her in a bunch of other shows and movies and other games that have literally come out a few months distance from ME2.
