Did Flemith have a makeover? I find this humorous.

Well in the realms of the game its because Varric is narrating it, and he has quite the imagination. In reality its because the devs decided to redo the art design; everything has had a bit of overhaul.SufferingTormentDarkness wrote...

Is that why? I thought it must have had something to do with her changing from dragon form. If you look the armour and stuff looks quite draconic (if that's a word).

She's a shape shifter, she can look different if she wants. That and it makes the character look "kewler" and she'll probably be playing a bigger role in this game than the last so the generic look wasn't going to cut it this time around.
she cant look like a different human being tough...

ask morrigan if she can shape into another human being and she'll tell you exactly why this isnt possibleYoziMaiden wrote...
Show me where it says a shape shifter can't look like someone else? Sure Morrigan could only become a spider, some bugs, and a bear... but Flemeth is like over 9000 years old. Besides I would think becoming some different looking human would be easy when you can become a dragon.

Huh, well... I suspect it has something to do with the body actually breaking down. Shape Shifting may result in a transformation that alters physical capabilities and the like, but I have never ever seen in any story a shape shifter changing form's resulting in immortality.

If you can change your shape into any other human being you can also change your shape so you are longer. physical age doesn't matter. for example, flemeth could become a high dragon. however, high dragons are very old creatures, meaning that flemeth with her 60-70 physical years couldn't become one if the physical age mattered. thus, shapeshifting and physical age must be unrelated.YoziMaiden wrote...

And Morrigan also said that her mother looks old and weak because she wants people to se her like that but is not how se really looks.
If she want to show her power then she makes herself look powerful.
And Morrigan also said that if you kill her mother, she will return later. You have to remember what Flemeth are. An old powerful witch like nothing we have seen before. Do you really tjhink it would be that easy to destroy her? Myself I think she let you "kill" her.
Now, the Flemeth we meat at the begining of Dragon Age II is before the Warden fight her but that doesnt mean that she wont return later in the game.

Yea, but the Devs have said that its Morrigan who can't shapeshift in to people because she is not nearly as powerful as Captain Janeway.

1. where exactly did the devs say flemeth could become another human being..
2. morrigan also says that flemmeth survives because she's overtaking daughters. she also says flemmeth was once young and aged like any other human being. theres an age conflict if she has to overtake other bodies to stay young and become any other human being.

Yes I agree that physical age and shape shifting must be unrelated, as such... one couldn't use shapeshifting as a means to gain immortality. When the clock on your human body runs out it's light's out, because if it wasn't anyone who stayed in the insect swarm for like 48 hours would die...
Unless of course the bugs are breeding... which opens another can of vomit inducing worms.

She didn't say it wasn't possible, she said she doesn't because she wouldn't learn anything by changing into another human form.
