Yea, but the Devs have said that its Morrigan who can't shapeshift in to people because she is not nearly as powerful as Captain Janeway.

And Morrigan also said that her mother looks old and weak because she wants people to se her like that but is not how se really looks.
If she want to show her power then she makes herself look powerful.

And Morrigan also said that if you kill her mother, she will return later. You have to remember what Flemeth are. An old powerful witch like nothing we have seen before. Do you really tjhink it would be that easy to destroy her? Myself I think she let you "kill" her.
Now, the Flemeth we meat at the begining of Dragon Age II is before the Warden fight her but that doesnt mean that she wont return later in the game.

1. where exactly did the devs say flemeth could become another human being..
2. morrigan also says that flemmeth survives because she's overtaking daughters. she also says flemmeth was once young and aged like any other human being.  theres an age conflict if she has to overtake other bodies to stay young and become any other human being.

1. They didnt say she could. They said that just because Morrigan can't doesnt mean that Flemeth can't. Flemeth told Morrigan everything Morrigan knows, but not everything Flemeth knows.
2. Yes, Flemeth was once young before she joined with the spirit. And sure, Morrigan said she takes over her daughters bodys. But who knows what her plans where? Maybe everything with Morrigan was after her plan? Maybe Morrigan even was fallowing her mother orders when she asked the Warden to kill Flemeth? Maybe Morrigan IS Flemeth?
We can't know with Flemeth.

It was my impression that Flemeth was deliberately appearing extra-old and extra-crazy to the Warden, because that's the impression she wanted to give him/her.

By contrast, she appears in the guise of a powerful warrior-mage to Hawke, because she is using him differently.

Yes, this is essentially what Mary Kirby said in one of the threads.

This is also true, but it's a less snappy answer.

The "reminds me of" game always ends in folk tales.  Whoever you site, someone smarter will site an older character.

The art change happened after the books were written? Is that a difficult concept to wrap your head around?

So it was a retcon then? That makes sense

The Darkspawn used to look somewhat menacing, now they look like people in latex costumes with makeup. I'm pretty surprised their teeth are so pearly white with them eating humans and rotting flesh and stuff

Darkspawn don't eat, so why does it matter?

You're selling teeth too short. Human teeth are quite capable of tearing flesh. And from the looks of things, these darkspawn will have additional canines.

Precisely, so why do they need flat herbivore teeth for then? Darkspawn sharp teeth is understandable because it is used as a weapon IE tearing flesh off inflicting pain/damage, flat teeth doesn't make sense.

It's a new art style and a re-imagining of many things in the world. If that equals retcon in your books, then yes, that's what it is.
