Well, in DS9 they didn't so much explain it as lampshade it.

It's a very interesting cultural phenomenon as the popular concepts of canon and retcons are quite new. If you pick up a 1950s Superman comic where they have more than one story by different artist, you'll see things like the S emblem on the back of the cape in one story and absent the next. Coloring could be tricky so Jimmy Olsen's hair could change from red to brown from panel to panel. There were no series' bibles or hardcoded rules about the character so Superman has to wrestle to lift a carrier out of the water in one story and effortlessly punches an asteroid into the sun in another.
Sure, you'd get something like Lord of the Rings, with the sort of internal consistency in lore you'd expect from an Oxford professor telling the secret history of the world, but it wasn't until around Star Wars/Star Trek and the build up of large fandoms following a series of stories written by dozens of different writers in the same, wholly fictional universe that these inconsistencies suddenly mattered in a big way.

That would be silly, and yet... if it was a mod I would probably use it. Also http://kunochan.com/...07/10/roman.jpg

Things like superman have survived generations so its expected for them to evolve, where is dragon age has just been around a few years, not much should have changed.
While I can't think of many intentional stylistic shifts, surely graphical changes, both large and small are the norm in gaming; as a visual form it's changing rapidly. As we step in and around the uncanny valley, I think we're going to see more and more shifts that are purely artistic rather than straight graphical upgrades.Maria Caliban wrote...

Would you like to discuss this in depth with me?
Nope, I'm more interested in the story/characters then a slight change to the visual style, but I'd rather wait until I play the game to know the big plot points are.PrinceOfFallout13 wrote...
