I dont se that big difference. And mostly not with Awakening. The Hurlocks in Awakening looked alot like the ones in Dragon Age II, just the teeth thats different.Cobrawar wrote...
The problem with the new art design is that they don't look like anything remotely from what we have seen in DAO and DAA. The artwork is so different, to the point no one really recognizes them for what they are suppose to be. Its takes the player out of the world you originally created and hence the illusion you are trying to create no longer exists.

But The Emissary is a differen thing. They look more like tall Genlocks. There I agree that the new look is not so good, not that the old one was good.
This is a good and useful set of comparisons. I must say that the new Hurlocks look more tormented and the old ones look more vicious. The last two screenshots especially make the Hurlocks look like they were designed with snakes in mind.
Still don't see the need for a makeover, and I doubt we will told why. Some internal arguments/conclusions/upheavals/whatnots.
And yeah, Flemeth is totally Maleficient now. Good catch! Maleficient was one bad*** witch. Whoever the VA was for that movie, they did a fantastic job. I support looking like her.
