As Wabfloyd already mentioned he intends to put two versions of the armors in the mod, to make sure you don't have to break the balance of the game just to look insanely good.

It's pretty easy just edit your chargenmorphcfg.xml

I got something like this when I made my own to include a lot of presets and eye/hair colors.

looks like a specular-map problem.. the specular-map is for the lightingeffects.
maybe make it a bit darker.
