Anyone try to make the 'Trailer Warden'?

I have it for my pc also, i don't recommend you get it unless yours is extremely rigged up.

PS3 version is pretty good though, would have gotten it for the 360 but my ps3 was sittin' around collecting dust so i got this one. Wish i would have bought it before the PC, but i wanted mods :D



Anyways, sliders would be greatly appreciated. ;)

BTW, was the trailer warden modeled after Arnold Schwarzaneggar? Looks exactly like him in the Wardens call trailer.

Well I really hope he didn't gave up on this project because I am waiting for its release for my next 2 playthroughs. This armors and faces are the main reason for me to be still motivated to replay the game.

What happened to the guy who made the face, is he on here at all? I'm waiting to make my new playthrough. Would be nice to have those sliders if at all possible. If they aren't at least let me know instead of not replying.

Well yea the old version has been up for a long time, we are all waiting for the next version that contains the new faces and armors that is seen in the screen shots.

There are lots of topics on how to recreate the trailer warden using the in-game char generator; this, however, isn't one of them. The main reason why your question isn't getting any love is because regardless of how much time you put in, you simply can't get a good likeness.

I'd recommend getting the PC version, even if your rig isn't buff enough to play the game on full graphics settings. The game is just that much better on PC, and that's not even counting mods.

While the memory leak is annoying, it is less so with a ****load of RAM/GRAM, so I wouldn't say it's entirely unrelated.

For my first play-thru, before I started modding/using mods, I made an effort to make preset nr5 look as much like the trailer warden as I could and it wasn't half bad. I'll have another go and post some screens if I get some free time.

Now it would be really cool if you could add retextures for the Hurlocks to give their skin a green color :whistle: haha just joking.

If you're using the Pineappletrees Vibrant Colors mod the default Malcolm preset won't show up.
So when you start a new character (human male) you get the vanilla presets and not the hm_malcolm.mop preset.
The solution is simple though. Go to MyDocuments>Bioware>DragonAge>Packages>Core>Override and open the 'chargenmorphcfg' file by using Notepad.
Find 'HM_CPS_P01.mop' (human_male) and replace it with 'hm_malcolm.mop'
Now you can use both mods at the same time and select glowing eyes for Malcolm ^^.

tbh i really think Bioware could have make the toolset more user friendly...

i mean the point of it was to allow the game to keep evolving and growing throughout it's release, but let's be honnest, if you have no experience working with graphics and such it's pretty much useless.



I tried a 100 times to use it and went over the tutorial twice and i still feel like a duck trying to play the piano :(



That's why in the end, like all of you, we'll just have to wait for Wab to release his coolness, because it's worth it and because most of us don't really have a choice anyway hehe ;)

Wow! i love this mod!

At the moment im only using the armors, and the weapons. I found a preset in which u could morph the characters face into your desired image, with the scar and the tattoo. Its not as good as this, and im still waiting for the newer update atm. But bloody great job, mate !

Btw, is there a hair mod out there yet like the trailer warden?

I very much doubt that Wabfloyd would put this much work into his mod, only to abandon it before it is finished. The updates were nearing completion when he stumbled upon a game-breaking bug, and he's most likely too busy to dig back into it right now, what with the holidays and everything.

The toolset is user-friendly enough, I think. I've no experience with graphics or programming, yet I've been able to edit any and all parts of the game where I saw the need. There's a tutorial for everything, all you need is a bit of patience.

For the time being, if there are any technical issues you're currently experiencing with the mod, or if there are any modifications you want done, I'll take as many requests as I can handle. For instance, the now out-dated mod was lacking an .mrh file which made customization difficult. Fortunately, I'm pretty good at text editing .mor files, which will allow for all tweaking possible with an .mrh, if less smooth or user friendly.

Hmmm, looking at Wabfloyd's version of the Trailer Warden (haven't seen the trailer myself, so can't really judge) and then going back and peering at the concept art, my best guess is that Trailer Warden is not the PC Warden. It's the original concept for Alistair. If you don't believe me, go to the Dragon Age home page, click on Characters, and then look at Alistair's concept art. He has that same general "feel" about him--craggy brow and all. As for who the art was designed around appearance-wise, I have no idea.

I had the same idea, up until the devs explained that the warden of the trailers was in fact based off a PC created with the in-game character generator. I've been trying to find that thread on the old forums, as it was thick with developer posts, but to no avail.
