gosh, Wab is putting so much dedication into this great modification for the game. You know what i think? I reckon he is already finished with the update, but he is now doing more for it. I reckon he is doing the HAIR :L.
But seriously, I reckon he has already finished with the new models and textures, and is making it more fantastic?
What do you guys think?
Mitchhunter, didn't he say for you to try some testing for him? And if so,how were the new models?

He discovered a game-breaking bug before I got my hands on it, but from what I have seen the updates are incredible.

I love this mod but the items are simply over-powered.
For example:
Malcolm's Armor
Requires: 22 Strength
Massive Armor
Armor: 8.75
Fatigue: 21,00%
+1 to all attributes
+20 armor
+50 stamina
+25 physical resistance
+1 stamina regeneration
The armor rating should be 21.88 (same as Warden's Commander Armor, Armor of the Legion etc.) and the fatigue rating 27.3% (''').
This looks more like Light Armor to me and +20 Armor, +50 Stamina and +25 Physical Resistance is simply OP.
They can be a bit OP but this is just insane. It makes the game less challenging and fun IMO.
The OP items could also be included in an optional file so you can choose if you want OP items or not.

Warden Commander Armor
Armor: 21.88
Fatigue: 27.3%
+1 Armor
+0.5 Combat Stamina Regen
+15% Critical/Backstab Damage
+10 Physical Resistance
So Malcolm's Armor offers 5,87 more armor than the Warden Commander Armor but has a fatigue of 21% instead of 27.3%.
Malcolm's Armor: +50 Stamina, +1 Combat Stamina Regen, +25 Physical Resistance, +1 to all attributes
Warden Commander Armor: +15% Cr/Bs damage, +0.5 Combat Stamina Regen, +10 Physical Resistance
Again, I really like this mod but I would like to see an optional file with less OP items.

The warden in the return to ostagar trailer doesn't have the same tattoo as the trailer warden. You need to look again.
Well, its the one that looks the most like his. And his armor is also similar to the trailer wardens.

Um, i see your point, but i think that the warden in return to ostagar was in MANY other Dragon age origins trailers (Not the CGI ones, of course). I don't think that its the same warden. Still, Bioware probably tried to interpret the warden from sacred ashes (With the same color of the tatoo), but also remember the pc's appearance is for the Player's choice.

I doubt we will have to wait, there are people who DO create mods and never release them, im not saying hes a dick or anything it could be he simply doesn't want to mod any more or he has other important issues to handle so he can't be bothered to update this mod.Ninja-J wrote...

But at any rate i'm looking forward to RTO and after that im done with DAO so weather he releases this mod or not i can no longer be bothered.

If he doesn't want to finish it any longer maybe he could give these files to someone who would do it for him?

has anyone seen the trailer for return to ostagar? i think the pc they use in that might possibly be the one they based the "trailer" warden off of, he has the same tattoo, at the very least. The only main difference from the one that was made by Wabffloyd is the hair, and the face is a little different. Thoughts, anyone?
That is the character the CGI trailer warden is based on. And before anyone assumes I'm talking out of my arse, the devs already confirmed as much prior to the release of the game.
My correspondence with Wab stopped some time before christmas, afaik he hasn't logged onto to site since. For all I know, his rig broke down. Whatever the reason, it seems he simply isn't able to continue his work on the mod for the time being. He isn't commissioned to do this, he doesn't owe anyone of us anything. Personally, I'll just sit tight and see what happens, I'll be busy modding and playing this game for a long time yet. And even if I do quit, the completion of this mod would be reason enough to return.

Actually, We first see him in some of the character trailers if I recall on the web site and figured that was the case withotu seeing the devs confirm that. The only difference in the character trailers is that he's wielding a 2 hander sword and is now using a sword and shield in the return to ostagar trailer.mitchhunter wrote...

Personally, though I use this mod since this character looks more like the one from the CGI. He looks a bit more badass than the one in the character trailers and the return to ostagar trailers. the only thing I change on this preset is the hair. I use the Alistair hair style since I can't stand that bald look. Of course if the mod comes out with the hairstyle the cgi trailer warden has then I'll definately get that.

lol, u guys know what the funny thing is? The more you wait for the mod, the more you want it. It's like you're waiting for a game to come out, but you still want it, true? Oh well, we gotta wait for a while then. If any updates or any news from Wab, it would be appreciated to hear out.
Thanks

I was googling Trailer Edition, when questions about the trailer warden's armor came up. I gotta say, Wab's one is the best i've seen so far, and it's great to have such a guy like him (modding faces, retexturing armors, etc). I came across some guy talking about the blood dragon armor. He said that the armor could be retextured to make it look like the warden's armor. Oh wait, i should verify that: its not the DAO blood dragon armor, but the Mass Effect 2 armor version. Now, if you look at it closely, there is a resemblance between the armor and the trailer armor (its proportions, the should pad, everything except the bottom part of the armor i,e, the legs). I was wondering if there would be a way to import the armor's model into DAO, and then get someone like Wabfloyd to retexture it. This is just a suggestion, so no need to get hyped up.
ME2 BLOOD DRAGON ARMOR (don't look at the DAO one LOL):

WARDEN DRAGON ARMOR:

Thanks, and once again, Wabfloyd is the best for this ingame modification. Cheers, buddy.

@Waiting for the mod: Sure. I am more intrigued by the idea of playing this updated mod version than RTO, although I think this is going to be a good DLC. Wab's armors and skins simply look too good

O_O they look so similar.
The only thing that would need a little work will be the shoulder pads (needs to be bigger) and the leggings, the boots seems ok to me.
I would love to see it in-game.

I think it might look better with the hair Davesh uses.
EDIT: Had anyone had success at creating custom hair-styles?
...Not that I could use them.
