Anyone try to make the 'Trailer Warden'?

okay thanks, flunkiman.

Just one problem, i don't have the tool-set atm, and i am near capped. if u guys can wait for up until Saturday, then i can probably be able to make the head model a preset. Thanks guys for your compliments. =D really appreciated it. Took me forever to make the character. Love using to kill atm LOL.

You should know that preset files don't always translate perfectly. Or rather, quite often they mess the morph up, particularily the "features" sliders.



I'm just about 100 % certain Wab isn't coming back. I don't know why he suddenly dissappeared, and left behind something he'd put so much work into, and I won't make any speculations. But the armor mod isn't happening, Wab's out and I seriously doubt anyone else with that kinda talent is gonna spend it on making intricate textures for free.

You'll gonna be surprised. Just give me a month to figure out the toolset ab bit better and you'll see.
I'm editing a .dds file for the massive armor to recreating Blur's armor already.. at least the texture. It's at an really early stage atm but I think I'm able to post some of my progress today or within the next two to three days.

Hmm, don't know but Ninja's Warden matches near perfectly the CGI one. This one doesn't.

I'm looking into it. I'm trying to find a decent Tutorial to make a preset.

Got something, don't know if this would help.

You can also override the game's presets for future characters, if you
want to do that you'll have to export the morph as a .mop instead of
.mor (this done via the export settings tab in the morph) and name it
race/gender prefix_cps_p.
So to replace the standard face for human males (preset 1), the name would be hm_cps_p01.

So, what I understand is that you have to create an .mop instead of an .mor file. Then you'll (or we by our self) have to rename the file to one of the presets. Like "HM_CPS_01.mop" or something like this (would be the first preset of human males then). I think we also need the other materials of several mods too. Like the tattoo, scar and "More Hairstyles" mod. But I'm not sure.

Jut a heads up, when i do give out my head preset ull need these:
- CC extra tints and tones (eyes)
- Pineapples Vibrant Colors (Skin tone. i think).
- More Hairstyles (Warden's hairstlye)
- Sacred Faces (Warden's tattoo and Scar)

*Note*
the Sacred Faces mod is an old mod which contains a preset of a "trailer warden" and it's tattoo and scar (just basic looks). I used this because i did not have the toolset. If i were you, I would download this, but still try the tattoo and scar for the toolset. Now, im wondering if this would work. BUt, still try after i release the preset :lol:.

Hmm, but the face of your warden isn't the same as the Sacred Faces's one. It looks different.
I'm using the Glow/Scar one myself but yours looks waaaaaay better and is nearly perfect.

Are you sure it's this one? Or did you play with the sliders. I didn't like the nose of the Sacred Faces one. Looked ugly like hell ^^

Hurm, actually it's not that difficult to make a preset, in-fact you dont even need to overwrite the current preset, it's can be used as add-on to the current list of preset. The problem I'm having right now if I put in the morph that I done, the colours slider would remain static. They other sliders would still work though. Still trying to figure out how Wab did his morph as a preset without messing up the sliders. Removing the morph preset would fix the sliders though

He included an .xml for the character generator. These can't be used together with other .xml files, so if you're using More Hairstyles or CC's Extra Tints & Tones (both include .xmls) you'd have to manually merge them. It's a whole lot more hassle than just editing your savefile in the toolset, and applying a morph to your existing character. I've edited my .xml to let me add the hair-style, glowing eyes and scar in the character generator, but I can't get Exar's tattoo to show in there, probably 'cause it doesn't use the default color channel, but my download is really old so it's possible that it's changed in a later release.

@ flunkiman LOL yes i played with the sliders. Like i sed, its the "trailer warden" but only the basic LOL. So im still wondering if its gonna work.

EDIT: when i got that mod, I played around with it. I eventually got the CGI warden's face, and now it's got the Caesar hair. Im just saying, I do not know if my preset is gonna work without the sacred face mod, or with the tattoo and scar for the toolset, but i reccommend you to still get the Sacred Face mod, u know just in case. :D

You meant the chargenmorphcfg.xml files? I know about it and the need to merge it if you combine mods, actually I tested my own morph without any other mods installed so I can trace back what I missed while doing it, I just made some face via the toolset using the default options then I tested it. The only thing that doesnt work was the colour sliders. So I wasnt sure what I messed up lol.

Edit: Lol, it's working now hehe, and I wasnt sure what I did. I'll think probably got to do with the way I edited the xml like you said mitchunter because that's the only tricky part to put the morph into the preset

Well like I said, feature sliders usually get bent, i.e. eye/nose and in some cases facial structure aswell. Basically preset files are unreliable.



@Ninja: Afaik there's no way of extracting a morph from a savegame or something like that, the closest you can get to giving us your Warden is by screen-shots of how you played around with the Sacred Warden preset.



@Flunki: You've got my hopes up, that sounds interesting indeed.



I'll start working on a morph tomorrow morning and I'll share it if I'm pleased with the results.

he's probably moved on to a different game or something and just simply stopped caring for DAO for now, i'm sure once new content is up we might see more pple returning and hopefully wab too.
I, myself, am looking forward for the very near coming of ME2 hehe :P

Anyway it's nice to see you guys are still on this, and i'm looking forward to associate ninja's face with the next coming trailer armor :D

I tried to put the warden new hair using the toolset in my saved game (override method) but... i dont know why the hair looks glowy in the toolset (afaik i dont know if it will look the same ingame) it seems like some buggy texture or conflict with another mod.

The only mods im using are the mods needed for the sacred faces mod (eye colors, scar and tatoo)

anyone has this issue too?

You're using "CC extra tints blahblah" too for your warden I guess. You need to download the "Compatibility Patch" too. Should fix this.  http://www.dragonage...file.php?id=392

They seem to have internet on their spaceship, surfing on youtube everyday and ignoring posts in his channel then. :whistle:
