Anyone try to make the 'Trailer Warden'?

I cant get it to work either...
When I do all things from readme file ,once I load I get default appearance ..
Any solutions?
And warden from trailers has dark blue tattoo isn't he?

You wanted a feedback...so here is one.. :D



The only thing that perhaps I would change is look of his nose from profile like "Nose tip out/in " should be little bit "In",and "Nose out/in " from my point of view should be more "out" to stack better with his overall profile line,because right now his nose is a bit pointy and for me stands out a bit!



It would be easier for me,or us to tweak thing or two our way if u put a .mop file or whatever file is needed



Personally I would only tweak his NOSE a bit... :)

No, it isn't. It looks like it because of the blueish filter Blur overlayed on the trailer. It's more like a darker grey.

I just wanted to run something by you guys. Most people want to role-play the warden now, right? I know I want to. While we wait for any updates on the armors I say we should play "What would The Warden do?"



Well, not play, but at least discuss just exactly what The Warden would do.

I can't get the toolset to work on my pc so I'm wondering if I can get a preset of mich's morph. The v2 trailer warden. Regardless everyone who contributed to this thread have been absolutely awesome. PC modding FTW! (b^.~)

Here some screens from profile look of warden and his NOSE,zoom the picture to see how pointy he is..does anyone have the same feeling about nose ???

From frontal point of view warden looks PERFECT,but from side that nose is haunting me xD

Love the new hair, had to adjust the face a little to compensate though. I might've gotten used to the shaved look, oh well.

Not sure, I think someone a few months back (who was trying to make the face) mentioned that he saw the name "Malcolm" in some inventory showcase, but not the actual cinematics where the Blur studio face shows up. And the name just stuck apparently.

Alright, now that I had some quality time with The Warden I can provide some decent feedback. First the obvious one, he has a scar on the left side of his face as well. I've managed to get a screenie to show what I'm talking about.

I'm not sure, but I guess this is missing because that scar isn't on the Bandit's pack.

I agree with BruceLEE_22, the nose is a little bit off. I think its a little off. I think the Warden's nose is a little bigger on his profile. I don't have a pic of the Warden to illustrate however. Other than that I think its great! Thanks for even bothering to do this Mitchhunter.

EEDIT: Dammit, its so hard to put images in these forums.

Leon, if you look at Wabfloyd's later trailer warden, he went into so much detail that he added a scar there. Good eyes btw. cheers. All of ur postings of your wardens are actually helping each other to produce new images. Great teamwork guys!:)

Ninja-J, I think that's very close, the only thing that I think doesn't quite translate to the model is the nose bridge that as you can see in the picture is thinner also the nostrils are not so wide and although it's somewhat hard to notice from close the nose should be bent left (you provably know already but there's a option to do so in the toolset)

I really like the nose look on the side

Ninja-J, his profile looks spot on! Now, if we could fuse your Warden's profile and Mitch's frontal and add the little scar on that is missing I think we might be onto something. Something great!

Edit: Also, Ninja-J I love what you did to your Warden's eyes. Did you make them squinty-er or just smaller? Either way I like their shape.

Well my first idea would be that you may have spelled it wrong, since you spelled it hm_mitchmalcom here, should be hm_mitchmalcolm.

I'm working on changing it up a bit atm, also the upload wouldn't allow comments or endorsements for some reason, so a new upload will be ready shortly - with presets.

When Wabfloyd created his second Warden, he made a custom skin texture that included all the scars. I'm no artist, all I can do is work with what's available in the morph editor.



A couple of notes: the nose is definitely one of the biggest challenges, but I'm working on it. On squinty eyes I have to remind you that that's a face expression - if you put squinting eyes on your character, the times in-game where he actually squints them they'll be closed instead. Again, one of the hardest things about re-creating the trailer warden, he's always doing some sort of expression and you don't wanna lock the morph into a single face expression.

@Creid-X, ahaha thanks for compliment. Yeah, i actually measured the size of the CGI nose side to make my character's nose LOL. yeah i realise that the nose was bent. is there a nose that is bent in the character creation menu? hm.. not sure, thanks for heads-up though :D



@ Leon Elsa, ahaha yeah Mitch's one is spot on! He has the chin and the head shape and everything looks very nicely modelled. The eyes, i made then smaller, and had to do some adjusting with the height, and spacing. I was always "hmm, this isnt right, need to do it again!" LOL

Haha, great job both of you. And Mitch, you are totally right, we don't want the Warden just closing his eyes all of the sudden, lol. Man, we need to find the other scar somewhere.

When looking at it again I'm quite pleased with the nose. If you look at the trailers closely you'll find that the Warden changes appearance quite a few times. In Warden's Calling his nose is alot bigger, atleast in profile view, than it is in Sacred Ashes. I'm trying to depict the Sacred Ashes rendition, and compared to that one I don't think it's too far off.

Wow, you are right Mitch, the .mop get super distorted. I'm glad I got the Toolset in working order.



Also, in an effort to help you guys out. I'm gonna link you to a picture of James Purefoy. I am 90% sure that he was the one that they modeled the Warden after (If you've seen Rome then you'd probably think so too.)

@Mitch, you're right the nose is really hard. The eye  to me seems okay, its not that small... LOL! But yeah i was trying to get the eyes from "THAT" picture of the warden (The CGI warden with my character).

On another note, i wonder if there is a way to have a character use a custom voice, u know the one you make. Right now im using the Violence Voice, since it sounds similar, but having him scream "STEN!!!!" (From Sacred Ashes Trailer) when ur in need of sten's help would be pretty cool, i reckon, lol.

One thing I have noticed since I started using mitch's morph is that while in the fade the shapeshifting gets a little glitchy, for instance when you change into the burning man it still uses the face morph. Also changing shape from any of the other shapes during combat won't change your appearance. None of it is really game breaking, but I just thought I should let you guys know and see if it happens to anyone else. I'll try to post a screenshot but I'm a forum noob haha.

@Leon Elsa: Yeah I have to agree with you, when I first saw the Warden's Calling cgi I went "that's James Purefoy". It's a good choice to model a bad-ass Warden after.

@Jaredor: That happens with morphs. I'm not sure whether using a .mop will remedy the issue, I've never gotten so far in the game without using a custom morph. Regardless, it doesn't hurt the game too much imo.

Edit: if you think these changes I'm making are ridiculously tiny, that's because they are! I'm dead afraid of messing it all up to be quite honest. But I think the altered nose got pretty good, and since you're all so fond of squinting eyes, I changed 'em up a bit aswell.
