Anyone try to make the 'Trailer Warden'?

If you want to be safe, just copy cc_eye_gbl.tnt from that mod into your override.

Use the toolset and open mitchmalcolm.mor (the one you've got in override). Click MORPH_TINTFILENAMES, and in string 2 replace pt_eye_xbl with cc_eye_gbl as shown in the picture:

Now if you feel like changing to non-glowing eyes like I do sometimes, put t3_eye_gry in there instead. Especially if you use Pineappletree's eye colour replacements, 'cause that grey looks exactly like the Warden's eyes in the Calling trailer.

Another thing I love to play around with is stubble. With this face I've got the .mrh so it's easy enough to change, but when I played with someone else's morph I had to find a way to tweak it in text, as you are doing now with eye tints. Click MORPH_NODES, 2nd STRUCT - you're now in FaceM1 where you can change all the textures, such as skin type and tattoo, tattoo colour etc. Next click MORPH_VECTOR4PARAM, 2nd STRUCT, VECTOR4F_LIST - the first vector here (0) manages eye-brows. My value there is 0,1,0,0 - meaning I've got 100% into "regular" brows. The second vector governs stubble, where the value sequence is as follows: goatee, soul patch, mustache, pork chops. As long as you stay within the correct format you can edit these at will (0.57 represents 57%, 1 represents 100% etc).

Ok, so I traveled to Rapunzel's tower, tossed the b**** out, and lock myself inside for the majority of yesterday and yesterday night. This is a preview of what I'm working out. Thanks go to MitchHunter for giving his .mrh to base this off of.

EDIT: Removed the pics - I'm updating the look. I'll edit in some screenshots in a little bit.

This is "James" my rendition of the trailer warden, based only on the Sacred Ashes trailer (the Calling warden looks a bit different, Mitch was totally right about that.) It's still a work in progress, but right now I want to get my eyes off of him and actually go play the game for once. I will get back to him later on tonight. let me know what you think!

I have been modding since yesterday afternoon and almost whole day today.

Later on i plan to host some picture of what came as result

All I can say is that I used mitchhunter's .mrh file as base

As far as for changes warden resemblance is consisted of Mitch's warden look in frontal point of view with dozen of my changes to the face and dark sheep's similar side view(profile) of warden ...so i combined 2 things from their warden and add a lot of mine corrections to create what I hope you will like...

A question, is there a possibility to import new models into the game or not?

If its not possible, than I think there would be a better chance to make a armor using the medium armor model instead of massive. For boots and gloves I would use something else, but the medium armor model has a solid structure for a good skin.

If you compare static2.evermotion.org/files/EVRprfolio/08a51b7dfaa23f9e3b829478d0459ed2f265e84a.jpg to the medium armors you see that shoulder pads and the armor around the waste are pretty similar. The trailer version has just higher and more defined should pads.

If I would have the skins I would try to do something, but I have no clue about alpha-layers and what the hell else is needed to make it look real good.

Its starting to make me real mad not see this armors from the trailer ingame.

He has glowy eyes ,i just posted low res croped images because of upload time and  somehow glow is losted due the backgorund of mages tower :)!

I totally agree with you. I've always wondered why everyone used the Effort Armor's model - maybe there is a technical reason to do so. I always thought the Ferelden Ceremonial Armor would be a good base for it; it looks nice and sleek and elaborate enough. If you could somehow add another matching shoulder pad to that armor and mess with the texture I'm sure you'd end up with something mighty nice.

The major issue with medium armors is textures. Look at how they're shaped, those templates wouldn't translate well. The reason why Wabfloyd (who at first had his warden wearing scale armor if you check back at the early pages of this thread) and Ghost11 chose Effort is because it's the best available template.

Afaik the only real modelling going on is weapons, which for many reasons are alot less complicated than armor. I know alot of people are hoping for an import of the ME2 edition of Blood Dragon armor, but as someone already pointed out that's illegal, so it won't happen. Hopefully, a couple of months down the road (if we're all still playing at that point), someone will have made model import/export alot easier for the modders and custom armors (not just re-textured ones) will start to flow in.

Haha Mitch, the Warden's name is Ron Jeremy, eh? Man you do a good job. I'm pulling hairs out right now because I just can't get the Warden down the way I want to. The proportions in Dragon Age are so different it makes it a lot harder than it should be.



Also working on a Leliana face morph, which i think is coming along nicely and is already better than whats out there.

@Leon Elsa: It's very difficult to create a face that looks natural and in proportion with the body. The toolset view isn't very helpful either so it's basically trial and error, loading in and out of savegames to see how the changes you make actually look in-game etc. It doesn't help that the warden looks slightly different in every frame of the trailers either :> But I really like both yours and BruceLee's morphs and you have my consent if you want to upload them, as long as you mention that you used my .mrh as template.

For instance nose,cheeks,jaw,mouth,eyebrow,forehead etc.....I almost changed everything,and main thing is that I was trying to save your frontal view of warden with my own vision of warden,and for example profile is a bit different

No I can see the changes plainly, it just reminded me of my first version (frontal view like you said). I spent 4 hours straight staring at that face, so seeing yours brought back some memories :>

This is what I've tried with the Blur armor. It doesn't fit with the models... it looks like a womens dress.

The models are the problem.

Thanks! If MitchHunter likes I can give him the .mor and the .mop files and have him upload it as an optional file to his own morph.
