Isabela - seemingly confirmed in trailers
Fenris - Higher chance he would be a love interest. I would speculate that DG would write at least two of the romances. Appears to be a quiet brooding type.
Varric - Less likely IMO. Complicated enough to write him as a unreliable future narrator as well as a companion. Without making Mark Kirby write a romance for him as well. Devs also seemed to be surprised by the Varric romance love.
Aveline - Less likely IMO. The way marketing department introduced her did not strike me as a potential love interest.
If Fenris is a love interest. I would guess the other male LI would be more outgoing and jokey, And the female LI more restrained than Isabela. Then again they said the romances were different. So maybe we can't really predict anything.

I have to agree with Chris on this, I myself get sick of all the romance threads. After a while it just starts to seem like a lot of lonely people looking for a game to supplement something they are missing in their life. A few now and then are ok, but some of the obsessions have just gone overboard and it's a big reason why I personally don't frequent the forum as much as I used to.

I completely agree with you.

I agree on every point. They really hijack the forums.

What some people don't seem to realise is that not everyone is as obsessed as you may think. Sure, I've got a Fen avatar, Fen 4 LI sig banner, Fengirl sig banner, Thane sig banner and a Nate 4 LI sig banner. Does this make me a romance-obsessed fem who wants to bang everything in Thedas with pretty eyes and a personality akin to the Maker himself? Puhlease.
The last thing folks here should be doing is taking fangirlish/boyish comments seriously. As far as I know, I'm just an old-timer having some fun now and again; that's not so bad, is it? If it is, feel free to remind me as I sometimes have trouble remembering what day it is, where I am, or what I had for dinner last night... *looks around* ... I don't know you people, do I? Wait a second... where am I? What day is it?! Did I have chicken last night or meatloaf? *gasps* Who are you people and what have you done with my sanity?! Oh, right, silly me! I just remembered! I dropped it off at the dry cleaner's for pick-up next Tuesday. Phew, I was really worried for a moment there.

I don't really give a squirrel's arse about who is or isn't romanceable in DA2. To me, romances in Bioware's games are like sprinkles atop a lemon-frosted cupcake. They add a bit of punch, but aren't absolutely necessary; take away the sprinkles, and you're still left with a delicious cupcake.

I don't buy for a moment that you didn't "mean to offend anyone", since everybody who's been posting in these threads has just been described as "lonely people looking for a game to supplement something they are missing in their life." I can imagine few things more personally offensive and hurtful than what you said there!

With BioWare games now stealing their gameplay from other sources and becoming more and more generic and homogenised with the lazy mainstream gaming industry ROMANCE is one of the last unqiue features they have.
it actually starts to harm the sales of the game (for those who are looking for an action game, RPG or story based game and not a romance sim).
Heaven forbid the romance scare off those action fans! As if they don't have enough games to play! BioWare games are frankly the only games we hopeless romantics can look forward to. I only hope DA2's romances are a big step up from ME2s which were awful.

Bioware literally has metrics that tell them what their players are doing with their games - unless the players specifically opt out of them in the ingame settings or play them on platforms without internet connections.
I don't upload that data. If it said exactly what gameplay feedback they were getting I might consider it.
Of course it has nothing to do with the fact that if it told them how many times I played DAO a bell might go off somewhere and they might come get me...
I know a simple solution, David, Stanley and Chris for LI's in DA3. Then there were most likely only be three major gush/speculation threads. (That won't help with DA2 but its worth a thought).
or
Make a Companion subforum and abandon it to the masses.

I don't really care what you buy or don't buy, one thing is clear you have zero reading comprehension skills. Read the entire sentence and stop editing it to fit your argument. If i meant to offend I could have easily done so and it would be blatantly visable to everyone.
"After a while it just starts to seem"
I did not describe anyone in any manner whatsoever, I did however state how they begin to be percieved when who is romancable and who is not becomes their entire focus in regards to the game being released.
I also said that "A few now and then are ok" but when there is a new thread or 10 popping up every day and some of these threads about how "sexy", or whatever, go on for 400+ pages is just becomes to much and what was a decent question or interest about an aspect of the game, seems or appears, however you like, to become an unhealthy obsession with a video game character.
Is that any less offensive to you? Honestly I don't care if it is or not at this point to tell you the truth.
