Hey everyone!
I just wanted to play Knights of the old Republic on my new windows 7 system.
After the game crashed after 10 minutes, I searched for help and I found it.
I've put a new mss32.dll into my swkotor folder and it didn't crash, when I first played, but when I wanted to start it a bit later again, I crashed to desktop. The process of Kotor was still running in my task bar and I had to finish it with the task manager. I'm running the game as an admin and I tried all Compatibility modes with the same result.
My system is a 64 bit system. The game was running on the same pc under vista before.
Hope,you can help me :)

Strange, I just reinstalled Kotor as well and I already had a crash at character creation when selecting portrait, later it keeps crashing randomly during the tutorial level. I suspect the game is sensitive to graphics drivers, one have to reroll back to 169.21 or so of the Nvidia drivers if you have an Nvidia card.
Try placing this dll file in the game folder if you have a Nvidia card. Haven't got around to try it yet.

DLL file seems to have done the trick haven't got another crash to desktop for awhile. (you have to unrar it first)

There is no "u" nor EWE, so the question is meaningless.  There is no context at all.  If it was a Radeon HD 6990, it wouldn't run KotOR, but it would run DA2 very nioely, so in that case, I would be very happy.

On the other hand, if it was a Rage Pro or something similar, I'd throw it in the recycle bin, along with the ancient PC it was part of.

try going to the game's ini (where the resolution and stuff is) and change "Disable Vertex Buffer Objects" to 0
