Okay, I have read through hundreds of these threads so forgive me if this has been resolved, but I can't seem to find it. I have a win 7 system on a 64 bit system. All the Dragon Age games have worked fine. I haven't played in months and saw there was an update to patch 1.04 which I ran and it installed fine- I checked the system info and it says 1.04. I then saw there was the Witch Hunt expansion, which I purchased and downloaded. First off, there is no zip or dazip file- mine simply says DAO-Witchunt  It is an exe file and it is zipped. There is no way for me to change that which I know of, it is sitting on my desktop. When I try to launch the Witch Hunt setup, it goes through then install then aborts and I get this error-

Installing Dragon Age 1.04.exe
Failed to apply required Dragon Age Origins Patch 1.04. Aborting Install
Completed.

I also tried going into the daupdater but the program could find no dazip file. The whole thing is very frustrating and honestly the directions on the Dragon Age site are not very good or detailed. Can anyone help me out with this or give me a refund for Witches Hunt?

I"m having the exact same problem. If this cannot be resolved, I would like a refund on Witch Hunt as well.

No one here has a checkbook.  We're all just gamers like you.  Go to support.ea.com and get some help from EA.

You shouldn't have to unless you downloaded it between September 7, 2010 and about September 14th and never installed it again.

i found a solution under http://dragonage.wik...ntent_(Origins)
At the end there is a howto for manual installation. For me this worked fine. Just an additional 900 MB download, but it works!!!
