I recently finish DA:O and was looking forward to getting some DLC. I downloaded the most recent patch and then bought the points I needed to get the Witch Hunt DLC. My main issue seems to be related to the fact that once I have launch the game, I am unable to then launch any of the links from the menu page. The only thing that seems to respond is if I tell it to log in to my account, which it does fine, but all other links to launch info about the DLCs that flash along the bottom or the Dragon Age Website fail to respond at all.
Because of this I had to download the DLC from the website and then install it into Dragon Age. Now it shows up, but as unauthorized. After a lot of research it seems that the problem is with my updater. I went ahead and tried to run it manually with "services.msc" but when I tell it to start it loads for a second and then I get :
"The Dragon Age: Origins - Content Updater service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs."
I tried starting it before launching DA, after launching, and setting it as manual and automatic. I know a lot of this has been covered but each issue is slightly different and I'm hoping there might be an easy fix I've overlooked.
Another issue with Authorizing DLC
