What if a Qunari had been denied the pleasures of life, because he got lost from the Qun, and Hawke was the only one around, bathing in a hotspring..the qunari would have to make a choice!

Erm.....that sounds like a fantasy....

Um, no.  There are Qunari women.  Sten is not one of them.

qunari have male and female look up concept art.

You two should realize that "female" means completely different things for different races. There are species where the male carries the offspring to term and the female nurses them (explaining why Qunari women still have bre*sts), and it's entirely plausible that both Qunari genders can give birth.

Reading Ploppy's posts give me headaches. I don't want to think about what responding to them would do to me.

But, everyone's asuming they don't have sex for fun. Lets use Sten as an example, for his blind obedience to the Qunari way. He often voiced his complaints of Fereldan's customs, yet living with Zevran, he said nothing, he even offers to have sex with Morrigan, a human mage, even though he clearly disaproves of humans and mages.

Seeing as Sten was very adamant about the difference between men and women for some reason I doubt the male Quanari can pop out babies If you counter with something along the lines of maybe only men giving birth, I will counter with the fact that any gender that is the one that is carrying children would be in the homestead instead of fighting in wars.

Ergo, only female brass giants can give birth.

The devs have explicitly said that Qunari don't have s*x for fun, simple as that.

Considering that the Qunari are a fanatical warrior culture, I'd say the opposite should be true. What better place to raise a killing machine than the middle of a war zone?
By your logic, that "proves" that male Qunari must be the one who carry the children.

In reality, it's more likely that both genders are equally capable of it.

Yes, he offers to have sex with Morrigan.  To stop her incessent flirting with him.  In no way was he actually serious.

Um,  perhaps bringing children into battle would be plausible.  Yet,  I would suggest that having men carrying children within them wading into battle would not be the most sensible thing to do.  Why risk losing two lifes if one falls,  it doesn't seem very practical now does it?

Why am I even responding to this troll bait...  it must be too delicious to ignore.

Who else is there to raise them? Desire demons? The mothers are hundreds of miles away, and I doubt you can just send a Qunari baby in the mail

Are you serious? How would an army of panting, large-bellied warriors be utilitarian and warrior like? How would they fit in their armor! It's already been established that Qunari children go to teachers as kids, not raised on the battlefield. The Qunari would go extinct if they had their offspring anywhere near the battlefield, because 90% of them would be slaughtered.

Maybe the women bear 90& of the children then and the males the rest? I think the people on the other side of the argument are all assuming that -only- males have offspring, which I've never claimed. I just think they have the potential to do so, especially when coupling with another race.

Really, can you please try to be serious here?

You realize that you're advocating that, in a society in which we know there are male and female sexes, the males actually give birth.  You're next arguing that those males do so on battlefields.  AND that those male warriors who gave birth on a battlefield continue to raise their children there, even though we KNOW that Qunari children are not raised by their parents.

Not only is your position utterly absurd, and bilogically backwards, but it is directly contradicted on almost every point by information given in game.

Please stop.  Please?

It is NOT biologically backwards, which I've been trying to explain for five or six posts in a row now. Many, many species have the male carrying the eggs or the uterus before the female comes in to nurse the children. And females are not -always- the caretakers either.
The simple possibility of male Qunari being able to give birth is completely valid, and I am going to believe it unless the devs go out of their way to tell us otherwise.

Well--it was more that he was bull****ting her than "joking"--he wasn't trying to get her to laugh, he was trying to get her to leave him the hell alone.

From what I understand, the Qunari are raised to consider mating a practical necessity along the lines of eating or going to the bathroom, and probably consider overattention to sexual matters similar to overeating.  It shows a lack of discipline.  It means you're not paying attention.  You obviously have too much free time.

I doubt they draw any distinction between heterosexual relations and homosexual relations--their reaction to the entire business is probably along the same lines as if you suddenly decided to take up waterskiing or competitive baking.  Most of your coworkers would probably think you'd gone nuts, everyone would give you funny looks, and they send one of the Ben-hassrath to talk and/or smack some sense into you.

So If a male qunari liked another male qunari, how would that be handled. I'm not asking for a "It wouldn't happen'' response. I mean IF it did, what would happen
