anyone els notice that when female shepard talks to garrus and in particular while she begins to romance him, she sits with her legs wide open.
Does anyone else feel that this is out of charecter for her, i mean i know she isnt the most womanly woman in the game but still

Shared animations. Been there done that. Shep recived more feminine sitting animations for LOTBS. Bioware is aware now, and most likely won't make the mistake again in me 3.

That was the male movement model in all its glory being shoved onto fshep. You should rewatch that scene in her dress! :(

How about when she runs in the ugly dress or anything really, she looks like she's playing a rugby game? It's called 'we were too lazy to make two animations".

Problem from ME1 that was brought into ME2...femShep gets all the same animations as maleShep. Unfortunately. So she has/had giraffe neck, man-gait, and man-sitting. :P

Hopefully BW will make adjustments and improvements in ME3 in this regard...because it was just downright embarrassing in ME2. XD Since they fixed the sitting issues in LotSB, I'm hopeful.

She has the same animations as mentioned above, this is a little unbearable when you wear the dress from Donovan Hocks party. Makes it seem way to revealing for Shepard.

Not really an issue though, since shepard has a black hole between her legs. Litterally.

I don't care. I honestly like the fact that my FemShep walks, talks, fights, and taunts like a man. Because why the hell not? It's frigging 24th century! You think people still care whether a sitting position is "lady-like" or not? The word 'lady' is probably archaic by then.

Sometimes I feel really separated from perhaps the majority of FemShep fans. It's like their idea of feminity is firmly stuck in the 19th century. <_<

Wear the dress, re-watch the scenes and come back again :wizard:

Or maybe use a female to motion capture instead of using a man.

I know what you're talking about. :pinched: I thought the dress was a disaster the moment I saw it at the beginning of Kasumi's mission, so I took it off asap. But I've seen videos of FemShep talking to Garrus in that dress. Grrr.

But that's something wrong with the dress. There's nothing wrong with FemShep. She can have a huge wardrobe if you mod a little bit. Some of those casuals make FemShep look feminine AND badass. For example this one (ignore the face mod, focus on the dress):

maybe they should have given the Lazarus Project some more funding, or Miranda should lose her job over that :P

I don't want my Shepard to be a girly girl. That's not her. I do appreciate the fact that the male and female Shepard physically behave in the same manner. It's a continuation of personality and behavior characteristics. So it didn't bother me to see female Shepard to sit in the same manner as male Shepard. Had Bioware made an adjustment specifically for female Shepard to sit with her legs crossed, that would have offended me. Simply because female Shepard is a women therefore "demure?" Com'on, it's Shepard. The dress gaff was hilarious!

I don't think people are asking for "big changes" in the mannerisms of both MaleShep and FemShep. Just some subtle stuff needs to be changed. When MaleShep leans back with the arms crossed, that looks like it was designed for FemShep. The way FemShep runs was designed for MaleShep. The game shouldn't have unisex animations when you can choose between a male or female character.

I don't really care, though it's awkward if you wear the dress.

It's only really a problem if you're wearing the dress from Kasumi. However, ME2 generally does need to pay more attention to FemShep. It wasn't until LOTSB when we finally got something unique, which is a sign that BioWare is hopefully aware and will not eat the same trap again in ME3.

I'm more concerned with when she leans against the railing when speaking to Garrus...her arm kind of floats there and never ever actually touches the railing...awkward (and uncomfortable).

It depends on the Shepard. My own would very much sit "like a man", and no other way. Who has the right to tell someone how to put their rear end on a surface anyway?

The way she sits at the end of Lair of the Shadow Broker however made me cringe. In the end, if the animators keep up the good work, I don't really care how she sits, but could it then at least be consistent? Did Liara give her a magical girly potion at the end of the DLC, or what exactly happened?

There are tons of clipping problems in ME2, but femShep does seem to have more than her fair share.  She does have her own animations and her own rig, though you really can't tell it.

 Are you sure of that? Because I definitely did not notice it. Not in ME2 (save LOTSB).

Lotsb she had some adjustments because the Formal Dress created some really embarressing situations.

Male Shep remains leisurely open while femshep goes more lady like

Glad Bioware made that change! Other then that there are no changes prior but hopefully there will be a lot more in the future.
