Hi folks,

Coming back to NWN2 with the new Steam Platinum release, and planning to play through the campaign with my girlfriend.

The question is: is it possible to set up a private campaign with custom rules in any way?  We will be playing across a LAN, and I was wondering if Persistent World toolsets or such allowed such a thing, and how one set about doing so.

When I say "custom rules" I mean stuff like changing ability starting points, possibly modifiying races, etc.

Is this possible in any way?

Thanks,
A.

hi Alt.

very possible. Do (just about) anything ya like

remember, the person sitting at the Server machine makes the rules.

grab some console cheats, get familiar with the Toolset, & yer power-bill is the limit! eh whot

Spent the last hour or so looking through the toolset and it answers a lot of my questions - thanks.

However, would really, really like to import the monk-speed upgrade into other classes as a matching level progression (allowing two different classes to keep up with each other when one is a monk!). But for the life of me I can't find how they've coded in the monk's speed - it doesn't seem to be based on a (hidden) feat.

Anyone know where it is in the toolset please?

Thanks,

A.

well, I did a bit of digging and found that the Monk Speed feat seems to be hard-coded (anyone else think otherwise?)

but

Sacred Fist Fast Movement is an addable feat ( #1557 ) and works much the same, though it allows light armor worn. You'd have to add it to a character with the console in DebugMode

GiveFeat 1557

at third level, which is when Monks get their speed boost.

welcome to the game :)

Fortunately we're at a time when there's (finally) a lot of tutorials and references out there, there just waiting to be hunted down. Don't forget about nwn2.wikia, Art.

oh yeah, and Google

and here, hey!
