*doodoo deedee doodoo* Hmmm.... I wonder what those menacing glowing glyph are for? Oh well.... *runs into the glyph with nary a concern* Ooofff! Well that wasn't very nice of him, knocking me gently over like that. *mutters to himself after he picks himself off the ground*
Obviously the darkspawn don't see magic

Are you joking? Cast the glyph at the foot of your mage and VOILA: no melee enemies can touch you now. Yup, totally usless

Of course, there's the hex of weakness...
Depends on how resistant enemies usually are, I guess on nightmare with the pumped up enemy resistances, this spell will be useless, but I can see it being useful if normal/hard DS only have something like 20% physical resistance, or if the spell automatically reduces physical resistance depending on the casters spellpower stat...

But only against weak enemies, I doubt that a dragon or a high level darkspawn will have troubles with a physical resistance check...

Five gold coins say that there will be bosses fighting you with hoards of little monstors pouring at you. That spell is a very nifty AoE CC, as opposed to some of rogues' single target CCs.

Cone of Cold eh... wonder if any of the Devs are Futurama fans.
"I cast a freeze ray on you"
"Don't be silly nave, there is no such thing as a freeze ray... wait do you mean cone of coldness, fancy men are helpless against cone of coldness"
"Uh, yeah"
"NOOOOOooooo...."

Haha... that is kinda funny looking... but what really got me to chuckle was when I started looking at the other spells.

Cone of Cold long existed before Futurama.
