I'm trying to get the ability achievements and ally achievements. iM playing insanity now if i revert to casual will i disable all achievements or just insanity achievement. Also will i get lower XP points since its on casual?
will resetting difficulty during playthrough disable

The insanity achievement is the only one that is solely dependent on game settings. All the others are only based on game play (and across multiple games for the bonus talent achievements), not game settings.
As for XP, it's very unlikely or at the most will only be by a few extra targets. XP per mob/per level will be the same regardless of difficulty.
