Hey guys, I was wondering if there was a way for me to change up my save files. I want bring over my choices from ME1, but with diffrent romance story options. Currently playing through me1 ongoing to Virmire. Main conflict is over Liara and Ash. Personally want to do a playthrough that has Liara as the li, another with Ash for potential ME3 plots and another with Tali.
Any way to accomplish this without having to play through mass effect 1 a second time? I heard creating a save file but at what point in the game?
Divergent Plot Lines?Saves?

Yes you can edit Mass Effect 2 saves using Gibbed Save Editor (it's easy but it can get tricky if you're new to this kinda stuff). U can get it here:

The thing is, u load one of your ME2 saves (preferably one with importations from ME1) and you edit the flags you want but in order for the options to work you have to set the edited save to End Game State LivetoFightAgain if you haven't finished the game yet. If you have finished the game in the save you're editing, then it's already set and all you have to do is edit the ME1 flags that you like, save and use the edited save to start a second ME2 playthrough. The ME1 flags u edited will only work on a new career playthrough. Ow... don't forget to always make a back up of your saves before you edit anything... you never kno'.

As for editing an ME1 save itself, no. As far as I've heard/seen/found, there is no way to edit a ME1 save until you import it to ME2.

Ok that sounds perfect. So I just play through ME1. Finish the game then import files over too ME2. Play through that career then I can edit the files and start with diffrent scenarios?

Or find a savefile from the previously given site and work from there. Gibbed can change the name and Lazarus will let you change the face.
Though unless I was doing something wrong, most of the ME1 flags you changein the save file will not be in the game initially unless/until you do a New Game+.
