Does anyone know how to uncover the information that Dawn Star is Sun Li's daughter? 

I remember I found out the first time I played the game, but in subsequent replays I never managed to repeat it.

The water dragon tells you. I think it's right after cleansing the fountains and right before bringing you back to life. That dialog option is very easy to miss, to be sure. But if memory serves me correctly, there should be an autosave before that dialog. Otherwise you would have to replay the fight against your clones again.

Hm. I just looked it up in the dialog file. There's a conditional attached to the relevant dialog option. I suppose this means, it doesn't show if this part of the storyline wasn't previously introduced. I guess that means you will have to talk to Zu often enough, that he will eventually confess to you (in the Lotus Assassin fortress), that he was one of the assassins sent to kill Master Li's child. That should open up that particular dialog path in the conversation with the water dragon.

That's only an educated guess, of course.

I can imagine as the two don't like each other. I never heard that conversation or that part of the story. How have I missed it? What point does it play out.?

When you reunite with your party at Dirge.

As noted above, to get this you need to:
* pester Zu a lot before he leaves your party ->
* get Zu tell you about Li's daughter in the Lotus fortress ->
* get water dragon confirm Zu's story in the spirit realm

People often miss this - other thing that is frequently missed is Wild Flower's background.

To tell the truth I find it disturbing. Seeing as the fact that you can have a threesome with both Dawn Star and Sun Lian.
