After 1.04, I thought it really started to come together then it ended. I like the steady rhythm, I would like to have heard more drums scattered throughout. There was a lull at 0.34 that nearly lost me but it picked back up.

Overall, a very nice piece. I did enjoy it.

It's great, as others have already stated tho, it doesn't quite have that ME vibe yet.

I'm no expert, but I think it may have something to do with the lead, maybe it's too fast (I mean, that short note you have at the beginning of it) or too complex (I recall several leads from the OST being really simple) or maybe you're just using intervals that are not the best for spacey-opera, you know? . I say this because I agree with Hunter, it sounds a little bit "asian".

Also, I have the impression that the background choir-strings thing that goes on is very Mirror's Edge style (listen to it's OST, it's great too).

And...aside from that, really great job, it's a beautiful piece, and better than anything I could do. It's just that, for me at least, the Mass Effect vibe is kinda trying to show up, but it's not quite there yet.
