It surprises me how many people want to buy the PS3 version again... why? Why buy a game twice? O.o

Same, I have no clue. Actually I think it's hilarious

How is that the most important? That's the LEAST important aspect. CVG and Examiner.com always have such flamebait articles.

It's also completely wrong.  The transition to multi-format occurred when ME1 was ported to the PC.

You forgot the most important thing... Is Conrad Verner still bugged?

I hope the crahes un the demo won't happen with the real version. ME 2 pc was surprsing stable. I think PS3 owners will buy an excellent game, but it won't be the best version for sure.

Considering he's almost certainly not in the comic or part of the default ME2 new game, he's probably not in the PS3 version at all.  BW may have felt merciful and thrown him in though.

No way better to start the year for me than Mass Effect 2 for PS3! I've played the first one for the PC and have been a fan since. Mass Effect 2 I have played on the PC but I don't own unfortunately so hearing it come out for the PS3 was a good thing for me. Plus, since it's my main "competitive" system, adding the Platinum Trophy to my account is a major plus

Lets hope all the PS3 fans put their money where their mouth is and buy a copy..........damn all the whiners and complainers, but ME2 earned many GOTY nominations and awards for a reason!

Personally, I hope BioWare and EA are incredibly successful with the PS3 sales of ME2. I anticipate that a greatly broadened player base will lead to greater input in developing ME3. Plus, it would increase the chances of a larger budget for ME3, which would hopefully raise the quality of the finished product.

I own the 360 version and I'm still getting the PS3 version. Why? One, it's a great game and being able to experience it all over again and increase my trophy score sounds like a plus to me! Second, Bioware has been really good to its fans despite claims of others to the contary and I for one will show my support! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK BIOWARE! I'LL SEE YOU AT THE MASS EFFECT 3 LAUNCH!

I'm sticking with my 360 and ME1 and ME2. That being said, I am glad for PS3 owners that will finally be able to take part in the Mass Effect experience. I am eager to see how this "interactive comic" concept plays out. I read some of the comments in the article and one person said that the Ferros mission was not included, which would mean PS3 owners couldn't do Shiala's side mission on Illium, but that may be a minor nitpick.

If you already have the Xbox 360 version why get the PS3 version?  I have both consoles (I actually bought the 360 to play mass effect and ended up preferring it over ps3 anyway - mainly because xbox live is better).  it would significantly lessen the experience if you couldn't import an me1 character.

the only reason i'd get the ps3 version is if you could map more powers to the controller - its really beginning to bug me that i can only map 3 powers to the controller for live play.  in fact i'm thinking of getting the pc version of me1 and 2 (i have a top end pc) just so i can play an adept properly (only thing stopping me is i'm used to using a controller for fps so i'd probably suck with keyboard and mouse).

Who buys magazines anymore much less heard of gamemaster? I mean props for still getting a great review, but we all know it's a good game... It's like having a knock off of the New York times give you a great review and posting it. At least to me. I never heard of them. Are they an East coast mag or west coast mag? If they article isnt on the web it's usually not worth reading.

I could get it for my PC but controlling games with a mouse+keyboard is plain silly.

That's your opinion. Me on the other hand; i suck at any game that requires shooting that needs a controller (yes i have an xbox and really like the controller :P) but i feel really detached from the game, i dunno, just don't like using controllers that much. Give me a mause and keyboard, on the other hand, and i can do just about anything and it dosen't feel like i'm controlling anything, as if the character/gun/whatever on the screen is an extension of myself, so to speak.

... i don't know if i managed to transmit what i meant but whatever. basically for some poeple controllers are better for others mouse+keyboard are. I happen to fall into the latter group. No need to say that one system is stupid just cause you preffer the other.

btw happy new year, all :)

Most definitive version? PS3?

They get the comic... and so does everyone else... but it only has 6 choices. There is a lot more that can carry over from ME1 than that. None of it is essential content, and they won;t know what they are missing, but they will be missing content.

bad framerate and sound issues of the demo, have been fixed in the final version on the shelf?

ONLY this, is VERY important.

Like you I have both options (started as a PC gamer)... and I must say that now I much prefer gaming on my console compared to my computer, even if there is a graphics hit.  I quickly found that I 100% eliminated carpel tunnel by switching to the console controller.  The Xbox controller just feels good in my hands, even if the mouse/keyboeard is more precise.

Has this been answered: how are they handling all of the many mini cameos that were present in the ME2 360 version...will they be included or not?

Well the way I see it it was an x-box exclusive and microsoft owns the x-box and of cause the platform windows which the PC version runs on. So microsoft is not loosing out. Just I see it was a bonus to get it.

The PC is NOT a Microsoft platform, the PC is a completely open platform.  Microsoft gains NOTHING from having games on the PC and as such they are even on record as saying they see the PC as  a competitor to their console and they actively with hold games off the PC to give their console a leg up.

On the Xbox Microsoft receives console royalty fees for every copy sold on the xbox on the PC they receive nothing except what they get from the initial sale of the operating system (which 9 times out of 10 is bundled with the PC anyway).  I am sick and tired of people (usually xbox owners) trying to pass the PC off as a "Microsoft platform" it isn't it is a separate platform not owned by Microsoft and the operating system is only ONE part of what makes a PC a PC.

When Mass Effect went to the PC it became a multiplatform title.  To say the PC is a Microsoft platform is as stupid as me saying "oh the PC is a Sony platform" just because I bought a PC made by Sony.
