Extremely Offensive?
Extremely offensive is a man marries a woman cheating on her and be with other men.
Now that is extremely offensive, not me.
It seems that you live outside of reality.
Spare me the lecture.
I just talked to have all three types of romances.
After all, we're talking about romance, not sex with anyone who appears.
In Dragon Age, romance = sex?
Are we talking about romance or sex scenes?
You're not making sense. Also, don't assume that all bissexuals betray their wives or husbands, they don't. It's not better than saying that gays are girly and all lesbians have masculine traits.
Edit: Now, let's cut this. Saibh already said she didn't want this type of discussion here. Geez, people, do you really want another m/m thread being closed?

Sorry, but it is real world.

and where is the difficulty of making a character who only likes men or only like women?
I am a guy and I am bisexual. I'm not a closeted homosexual. I gain nothing from lying to myself or anyone else. If having male bisexuals in DA games or any other game for that matter bothers you, than don't buy them or partake in the romances in the very least. Not hard logic.

But Dhiro is right, and carrying on about this will get the thread locked.
OT, it was ridiculous how excited I got when S/S was confirmed. Ridiculous.

Thicos, until you meet every bisexual man on the face of the planet and they confirm that they are, yes, secretly gay, than not only do you have nothing to stand on, but you're coming across as extremely offensive and bigoted.

I also plan to simply not respond to any insults thrown in the direction of bisexuals in this thread, though I will report the problem if it goes any further. So please, just hold your tongue unless you have something nice to say.

Hm, I didn't get this expression, "cap is served". I wonder if it's the same thing as "se a carapuça serviu..."
Oh, well. Think what you want, I won't discuss this any longer. I only ask you to not be offensive toward our bissexual companions (as in, Bioware members, just for clarification), as I said before, I don't think any of us want to see this thread locked.

I was very happy, tooEven if I don't like the male s/s LI (and if it's Fenris, I probably won't), I'm happy that Bioware put s/s romance in their games. Even in Mass Effect, despise the "IT'S NOT GAY ENOUGH" cry of some fans. *sigh*
Oh dear. Mass Effect.
The biggest problem I had there was not the lack of s/s, so much as FemShep could be gay but MaleShep couldn't. It gave my eye a nasty twitch and, I will admit, a shameful degree of trepidation for DA2. I'm glad I was fretting for nothing. (I would also be glad if it's Fenris because his hips make me happy)

Aye, Mass Effect is one of the most creative, innovative and realistic sci-fi games I've ever seen. The detail put into the technology, biology and political atmosphere is just astounding, yet for some reason there can't be room for man-on-man love in the ever-expanding universe....ah well.

HIS HIPS DON'T LIIIIIIIIIIE. *ahem*
Yes, it was a shame that Fem!Shep could be lesbian and Male!Shep couldn't. Dhiro approves Jacob's abs. And his personality or whatever. Anyway, it's still a start. Maybe ME 3 will have a male s/s relationship. Maybe not. Still, I won't look down the game just because of that, it's not a dating sim. But I can't help but feel a little happy when I know a game have s/s relationships, so DA II have a love bonus from me.

It looks like the option is between Fenris and an unannounced mage.

I wonder who the mage will be? I've heard it might be Anders from Awakening which as far as I could tell, didn't swing that way. It is up in the air however. Personally, I just hope is isn't Fenris.

It was frustrating. I would have been content with the option to have Shepard flirt and be turned down because the NPC just doesn't swing that way. I would have been happy if such was the case for FemShep, too, because as Dhiro said the ME series wasn't meant to be a dating sim.
Doesn't lessen the sting of being unable to dictate Shep's orientation, though.

I agree. In DA there are s/s couples all over the place, but the not found anywhere(with the exception of Asari) in a universe of a multi-special civilization that expands over hundreds of planets connected by technology that travels faster than light.

Not that I care a great deal about the manliness quotient, but is race really that important?

Is there any reason why people are especially adamant it not be Fenris? Is it because he's an elf? I don't really get the whole NO GAY ELVES thing, myself. Fenris is a two-handed warrior and from what he know, is very intense and forthright in personality. It definitely seems he'll be more "manly" than a mage, especially if it's Anders.

I'm just not attracted to elves, for some reason. I don't know why, he could be the best elf ever, I probably wouldn't romance him. Best buddies? Of course! Lovers? Nope. I can't put my finger on it, but I never liked elves this way, even before DA: O.

The stereotypical male elf fits the stereotypical gay man(WoW Blood Elves for example) so there's the cliche part to tolerate. Plus we already had an M/M elf LI, so something different (ie in the body of Varric) would be a breath of fresh air. For me though him being an elf really isn't an issue for me, it's his look. I don't find him attractive in the very least. He looks like something from a JRPG to me. He's to "Bishi" for my tastes.

It's perception. And the unfortunate implications that come with it - "Oh, since he's an elf it doesn't REALLY count as being gay" or "If you're a gay male, you can ONLY romance the elves, not the humans."
I don't see it that way myself, but I can easily see where other would get that perception.
