And yeah Ander's revealing a crush on Nathaniel is pretty meh. The same with male templars. Though that's probably because my male Cousland wanted Nathaniel. So very sad there was no romances in DAA. So very sad.

I have to say, I did like Anders a lot. But for every super-charming and adorable thing he did, he would tell a joke about how men never ask for directions, but women do, and I'd be all, "are you sure you're an apostate mage and not a stand-up comic from 1986? Weeeeeeeeeeak."

I, for one, don't really want to know which characters are potential lurrrve interests, 'cause I want to be surprised (or disappointed) by my in-game wooing. I.e.: Morrigan's not bi?! Damn! ;-)



As for man lovin'? I agree with someone's earlier comment, regarding Zev's reprosentation in Origins: it'd be good to see a gay or bi male character who's less typically feminine.

Though I really hope Ander's friendship path doesn't require you allowing Vengence to thrive.  It would suck if the bi male only had one path to his relationship while everyone else had 2.

I'm away for half a day and when I come back I find out that most my hopes and dreams for DA2 have gone down the drain. Not only do I find out that annoying Anders is most likely the only m/m bisexual option in the game but now he isn't even annoying Anders anymore, because in addition to turning him into a raving psychopathic lunatic the demon has turned him bisexual. Way to go miss Hepler. This presumably also means that, even if some of us could stomach the cannibalism, if and when we choose to exorcise the demon the relationship would effectively be over.

Now I'm really hoping we get a cute male Kelly as a viable alternative or it's flirt lines that lead to inevitable rejection and heroic, stoic celibacy for my MHwakes because any relationship with prince Seb (if that's possible at all) has to have boobies involved.

Since Anders and therefore cannibalism is part of the standard game, and it seems we've got to recruit him, I think EA should have included a complementary vomit bucket with all physical copies of the game.

Hey, what can I say, I'm good at leaping have been since kindergarten.
I also don't like pointless retcons and I'm hardly the only one whose gaydar didn't register anything emanating from Anders in Awakenings. Also the cannibalism thingy is pretty much confirmed, unless those short stories were just hoaxes to completely mislead us concerning the nature of our prospective comanions.

It would be kind of an unfortunate coincidence that a false M/M romance file for Anders made it into the demo (matching Isabela too), but not the real one for Fenris.
