Yeah, I actually thought m!Cousland/Nathaniel angst would actually go somewhere. It was sorely disappointing to know that you can't do anything with him past talking.<_< I'm at least glad to know Anders might be available for both genders now. Unless......he was only in the preliminary stage, but ultimately wasn't chosen. =( As for Cullen, well, I'm holding out on any hope that he went to some mage-haters anonymous type of rehab.

Btw, I know Nathaniel was optional, but maybe in Anders' story, he'll mention something about meeting with a dashingly handsome rogue and subsequentially developed a crush on him.

Indeed. Male Hawke no longer has to worry about scale itch.

...Though anders might've caught something from one of his afternoon snacks.  (and yes I'm joking about the frequency of the cannablism before someone jumps down my throat) 

And I much would've rather Nate be a companion than Anders. Nate was actually awesome.

You misunderstand -- most certainly Fenris DOES have romance files in there. We just can't view them, and they aren't named in a way that gives away their content. The anders file is named something like "anders male kiss blah blah blah" while the fenris files are just regular computer jibberish that doesn't reveal their secrets Fenris' files could all be romance related, for all we know! Anything is still possible!

Yeah, Anders definitely eats people and there was really only one major theory I was taking issue with. I just sincerely doubt that you can exorcise the bisexuality out of Anders. Have hope!

Actually Sky doesn't do that. He mentions that you're special to him and doesn't constantly fling his attraction to women in the male PCs face. Though the guy has Carth Syndrome in the m/m romance it's limited to him saying "you would've liked her." and that she died giving birth to his kid. He doesn't go on and on about how much he loved her and how special he was, and what a terrible father he is. Sure he flirts (slightly with DawnStar but it's not like Zev's hitting on everyone and anyone within a mile's radius. 

Or mabe I just think Sky's so awesome that I can overlook it. That's probably it.

It's easy to miss the "more than friends" dialogue regarding Taliesan.

For what it's worth, the liner notes for that dialogue specify that Zevran and Taliesen were lovers. Just because something isn't explicitly spelled out for everyone with half a brain to see doesn't mean it isn't true.

If asked? What does that if asked entail? Because I'm looking in the toolset right now and I'm not seeing anything overly explicit.

If you ask him was Taliesan a good friend then Zevran says he was "a good friend and more." There is no obvious is obvious about this. You have to choose a specific dialogue option at a specific conversation in a romance with him. 

So let's do the math: You have to fight Taliesan, you have to make sure Zevran doesn't fight him, you have to make sure you choose that option. 

That's a lot of jumps for something "obvious".

I'd rather catch scale itch then having to worry if I'm going to be next days lunch.

Yeah... but if they'd have given us Nate in the core game they'd have trouble selling prince Seb bacause Nate would make him redundant as a rogue, archer and dare I say potential female only Li. Besides everybody knows Nate only loves male Cousland.

Only if he leaves, that would explain it then, because once I have him I've never let him leave my group. Did kill him in the playthrough where I tried to be the most heartless and evil that I could be but I never let him leave.

Here's the Convo:

PC: You should have stayed and fought. Script Comments; IF: Zevran did not fight Taliesen

Zevran: Believe it or not, despite my feelings about the Crows in general I had no argument with Taliesen in specific. (grim -- he regrets killing Taliesen), He was a good friend whose only fault lie in his priorities. I had no wish to fight him, and truly I would have preferred he not come after us at all. But what is done is done. (grim, regretful)

PC: A good friend, was he? IF: APP_ZEVRAN_ROMANCE_ACTIVE 

Do note that if he's in a romance you have a small window where he will actually leave you to fight Taliesan alone. If your approval is too high he will not abandon you and thus you will not get this convo. 

The only way to get this convo is to romance him, have him abandon you to Taliesan (which requires you have lower than a certain number of approval (to romance him in the first place I think you need at least 20+ approval) so you have to squirm inbetween those two numbers, and pick certain dialogue choices *I forget which ones* and then pick a specific dialogue option. 

Zevran: He was. And more. But there is no need to relive the past. That is all behind me, now. (grim, "and more" meaning he was once Zevran's lover)
