I had him figured as bi, though.  He seems the free spirited type, and the Circle is supposedly more libertine than Ferelden as a whole.  So even if he talked about pretty women, I could see him hopping borders for the right guy or the right circumstance.  Plus there's that "not when I'm naked I'm not" comment.  A hetero guy doesn't say that to another guy, at least not in that tone of voice.

Yeah, but he didn't make light of Oghren's joke was the point.  

And perhaps it's partly because he talked about women so much in Awakening.  I do. not. want. another bi who's primarily attracted to women.  

(edit: although perhaps Justice thinks it's unjust to favor one gender over another.  But I would still be unhappy with the cannibalism thing - assuming again that short story was canon.  I guess I'm just generally unhappy.)

....okay, all joking aside, I will be remarkably offended if Anders "became" gay after being possessed by a demon. I mean... the implications there are not cool. And the writers at Bioware are better than that. If Anders is bisexual, it's because that's how he's always been, and it didn't take demonic influences for him to realize it.

I was simply impyling since Vengance and Anders fight for control perhaps it brought out repressed desires meaning they were there anders was just repressing them or did not even realize because he never explored that side  of his sexuallity. Not that a demon made him gay the implication of that is insulting to think about.   

And i was alsosaying that just because Justice became vengane it does not mean som of justice's unkown desire could have entered into the demon inside of anders. Anders has the potential to be the deepest charecter in the party other than hawke because of this kind of thing.

I don't think we'll be this lucky either even if Fenris was the bi option. That short story about him checking out some woman's cleavage made me believe that he's mainly for f!Hawkes anyway.

Admittedly, Justice doesn't seem to view the concept of love as being constrained to male/female only. It's something he envied Kristoff/Aura for having and an emotion that he (implied) wanted to have. If Anders fell in love with Garrett, I don't believe he'd protest. He might even encourage it.

I could get on board with this if it was handled in a very careful, very considerate way. Perhaps Anders initially resists against manHawke's advances because he's been closeted for most of his life, only to have Vengeance encourage him to be more honest with himself.

Vengeance having an influence on Anders' sexuality could certainly play out in a non-offensive way, but I would be extremely hesitent before I entered that territory. Then again, caution does seem par for the course with Anders, so perhaps I'll be pleasantly surprised.


EDIT: Oh, but for the record, I'm guessing that if Anders is actually bisexual, we'll get a big fact Bi The Way line from him, not some huge sexual revelation.

And while, no, I don't want another bisexual male love-interest who prefers females, I do think it would be fun to see Anders reveal that he's never been with a man, but is starting to come to terms with his sexuality--and his feelings for Hawke. Yes, that could be incredibly fun. But it could also get very offensive very quickly, especially if Anders attributes his newfound sexuality to Vengeance, even in the slightest.

So, while I think it could be a lot of fun to see Anders' come into his own (unconfirmed) sexuality, it would probably be easier just to tack on a giant Bi The Way. I hope I'm wrong, of course!

Agreed. In fact, I don't think that anyone here will agree that Anders' "becoming bisexual because of a demon" is a preferable story.

However, I do think that if Bioware decided to go in that direction, they could do so in a way that did not offend bisexuals or homosexuals. If Anders was deeply closeted before his union with Justice, and Justice's influence encouraged him to be honest with himself, I could appreciate that story.


EDIT: I mean, remember Jack from Mass Effect 2? Remember how beautiful and touching her romance was when she was finally honest to herself and Shepard? I mean, no, Jack's issues weren't about her sexuality, but a similar character revealation from Anders could be really sweet.
