Something like this(minus the goat-y parts) would be something I'd LOVE to see in a elven M/M LI. Still has the elegance and beauty of the race, but it's very feral, rough and austere. Something that I'd expect from a Dalish Hunter or something.

Yeah, Bioware found out that I liked on what they did to the Qunari, so they had the M/M romance option cut because of it
It's from Lorwyn in Magic the Gathering. These elves are savage, genocidal, predatory perfectionists with goat horns and hindquarters and I love them. Very "Fair Folky".

I remember my first virgin Warden. He was really cute, so I don't know why he didn't get any.
...Well, there was that part when he sold the gear of everyone except the main party to get money to the Reaper's Vestiment. The Final Battle was... interesting.

Upon reflection, I wouldn't mind Fenris or Anders (assuming that is Anders) being the m/m love interest.
With Fenris, I was initially reluctant because we've just had a bisexual elf. (In every sense of the word, in my mage Warden's case ...) But he seems so different from Zevran that I don't think that would be an issue in game. We'd still have to endure another round of 'it's not gay if it's an elf!' but I suppose I survived that the first time without my eyes rolling out of my skull.
As for Anders, in Awakening he seems pretty keen on the ladies, but since there's no option to romance him it could be that he just doesn't mention his bisexuality to people unless there's a reason for them to know. This would mean we might get the second male bi love interest in a row who has a stated preference for women, though. So there are pros and cons for both options.
And of course Varric is the wild card in all this. I doubt that he is going to be a romance (which makes me sad) but we can't say for certain at this point.

Actually I didn't want a Zevran like LI again. I thought it was because he's an elf but it's not...it was just his personality that irritated me.
Once Gaider said Zevran and Fenris weren't similar in personality I was very willing to have Fenris as an LI.
