And I would totally support all the LIs being bi. But if I had to choose one over the other, I'd definitely lean towards Anders over Fenris. Although that pic... Gah! Too much hotness in one game!

I think it just felt like received wisdom (to me at least) ... no official statement of 'we the undersigned hereby proclaim our belief Fenris is the bi LI'

Bioware is just evil.... They went and made a WHOLE GAME FULL of Alistairs. Even Carver which is all kinds of wrong!

So you guys, this isn't romance related, but it is mHawke related and hunky piece of man flesh related, so I'm posting it here.

I don't like his beard.

There. I said it.

This shocks me as much as it must shock anyone else. I am a HUGE supporter of facial hair in general, and believe there isn't a man alive whose appearance would not be significantly improved by the addition of even just a little bit of stubble. A personal preference and not to everyone's taste, I admit, but there you go.

And yet.

In the CG trailers, I was ALL OVER Hawke's magnificent facial finery. I mean, let's face it, CG trailer Hawke is eleventybillion types of hawt. But his in-game beard.

It's too ... pointy. He's wearing a triangle. It sticks out at the sides and is too pointy at the bottom. Why for the love of all that is rough when it rubs against your chin (and other places) would they decide to change his beard from the magnificence of the trailer to ... that?

I would love to play with default Hawke, I really would, but the fact you can't change the poor man's facial hair means he's going to be the equivalent of fShep for me ... always a custom face. He'll always have facial hair, just not that monstrosity.

Edit: for the record, the Anders in Awakening, I might have considered, but the gore/creepy factor is a little too high now.

Y'know, I actually believe it will happen too. In most games, s/s characters usually have bad endings like...

• One partner dies
• Both partners die
• One partner leaves
• One partner gets possessed, and the other has to kill him
• One partner turns out to be a chick in disguise

And so on and so forth...

And chances are, if Anders turns out to be the m/m romance...

• One partner turns straight after being exorcised

Maybe I might be proven wrong, but s/s relationships in gaming/literature history says yes.

Yes, I'm quite the pessimist.

My issue with Anders isn't Vengeance, but the fact that we have another bi character who obviously prefers women.



And the he was always bi but hid it for reason x just annoys me.

Oh man I love CG Hawke so much. He's one of the reasons I'll be playing a default Hawke the first time round. I know they're not quite identical but they're close enough for my tastes.

And yeah, I do prefer CG beard to in game beard, but I'll take what I can get.

EDIT: CG beard for LI!
