Don't know about you, but my first Cousland walked off into the sunset with Zevran, where they went to rebuild the grey wardens. And in Awakening, sure enough, Zevran had written a touching letter to him, detailing how he'd far rather be with his love than be apart, and that he hoped they would see each other again soon.

Not an unhappy or tragic ending in sight.

(I do understand your point though ... the 'all bisexuals must die and/or be a psychopath' trope is all too prevalent in tv and film.)

Oh, I can tell you, I don't like the beard too. The one Hawke got in the "Real" trailer was nice, but the one in the game is just... no. Too much beard.
My M!Hawke will have one, but it will be very short one. Like it hadn't been shaved, for, what, 2 days?

I've said it before, I'll likely say it again ...

When we all thought it was Fen, I was a little sad it wasn't Anders. Now we think it is Anders, I'm a little sad it isn't Fen.

But hey, there's no need to be sad at all, because they're all bi.

It's funny that when I thought it would be Fenris I was happy, but also thought that he might be better left asexual... Now that Anders is confirmed I feel sooooo sad that Fenris might not get a chance to have himself some mHawke >_____<



Of course they're all bi, so I don't have to worry about poor Fenris.



And I liked Anders in Awakenings but I'm just not sure about what they did with him for DA2. That snippet we had in the romance threads, it did a fine job of letting us know that Anders changed, but didn't actually elaborate on this new person that he became. I feel no connection for now...

No you're right. It always irked me that Zevran said, given my druthers I prefer women, something along those lines. I was like, well go bonk Morrigan then. I'm not second best. Edit: It didn't stop me ultimately, but it always put me off.

There was no sign at all of him (edit: Anders, I assume everyone is irked by the same thing I am, obviously) showing interest in men in Awakening. At all, all he went on about was women. For him to be bi now is just contrived. And icky, because of the whole psycho/cannibal/possession thing.

Also with you and thanks for posting the comparison. I thought I was just going crazy when, all of a sudden, I disliked Hawke's beard... what I thought was the same beard that just a few days before I had loved. It does look like some crazy barber took a drafting square and chainsaw to Hawke's facial goodness.

There were some jokes, but no romance. There was no opportunity to ask Anders. I know folks have previously posted and said Anders gave lots of indication of liking women, but that really was not the lasting impression he left on me. He struck me as a sarcastic guy who loved his cat and wearing jewelry. I mean... come on.

I give you that there was no romance and no, not everyone has to wear their sexuality on their sleeve as  you say, but there were suggestive conversations, and Anders' all pointed in the direction of women. He doesn't strike me as the type who'd be bashful about sleeping on both sides of the bed. If he liked guys he would have made lewd comments about them as well.

In all fairness, loving his cat and wearing an earring doesn't make him look gay either methinks.

Yeah they did the same thing for DAO. Let's hope it gets leaked early like DAO did.

Really? So you just missed all the parts where he flirted with every woman out there? He even had the hots for a statue of Andraste!

But, whatever. I don't mind him being the bi option. I just wish they'd started implementing it in Awakening.

Yeah... maybe I had blinders on but I didn't see him that way, no. Wishful thinking, maybe? He struck me as Alistair Mk2, and as I had the hots for Alistair, maybe I just decided to ignore it. Ignorance is bliss, perhaps.
