No you're right. It always irked me that Zevran said, given my druthers I prefer women, something along those lines. I was like, well go bonk Morrigan then. I'm not second best. Edit: It didn't stop me ultimately, but it always put me off.

There was no sign at all of him (edit: Anders, I assume everyone is irked by the same thing I am, obviously) showing interest in men in Awakening. At all, all he went on about was women. For him to be bi now is just contrived. And icky, because of the whole psycho/cannibal/possession thing.

My issues with Anders are both those things plus the fact I didn't
really find him attractive, appearance but most of all personality wise in
Awakenings either.

I guess I should be grateful they attempt it at all but BIoware style m/m bisexuality really means that the guy in question might just consider having a fling with your male PC while waiting for his dream girl to stumble along.
And the latter only if your male PC is willing to literally drag it out of the man in question because he will never ever consider initiating even so much as flirtatious dialogue with your character of his own accord.
While this may not have been strictly true for Zevran I suspect that DA2 going the ME2 route implies they've only gotten more conservative in this regard and if this had been the first game in this franchise they would not have included the male option at all, just like Mass Effect.

Oh, it'd be my pleasure. I'm just so sick of this double standard bull****. You let people know about f/f, you let them know about m/m. That's only fair. If I can stop this annoying guessing game I'd gladly take that drive.But Balthamoss is kind enough to take another look at the mag on Monday.

Having a male elf as bi-option would not bother me as most of the interactions with the male elf npcs in DAO were with strong noble elven characters of which Fenris seems to be of that type. What bugged me was the Antonio Banderas "I will sleep with just about anything " Ho that we kind of had in Zevran. This would have irked me whether he was an elf or not. I am open or either Anders or Fenris as I really liked Anders in Awakening and from what I have seen of Fenris will really like him in Dragon Age 2.
