 I really hope my worst assumptions don't come true. Right now, with what I read in those reviews (links in last 1-2 pages) I'm definetly geting a ME2 vibe (btw, the drunk marketing director didn't help improve the mental image that is forming). By that I mean a very short plot/story, with a "on the run" feel to it (that was ME2 for me) and with characters that not only don't compare to the first game, but that don't even come close (personal opinion, but ME1 characters were amazing on many levels, ME2 were... sketched). Still the 10 year approach might just bring a new level of awsome to some really great Bioware games. Gonna wait on the game before deciding. If this happens, I'm thinking m/m romance... ugh. I prefer not going there.
Also, even if it's a full romance, and if it's Anders... it can go wrong in so many ways that is just scary. I mean the potential for being offensive and whatnot is huge.
Anyways, those are worse case scenarios. After the ME2 experience, I prefer to be ready. May be different teams, but it's still Bioware.
Right now dreading a Kelly-like m/m romance option or some sort of visible discrimination (like ME 1 & 2 had) or an romance story so bad that I might wish it didn't happen at all.
As for hoping... sigh... dunno. I guess a m/m romance "at least" as good as the one in DAO. And a story.
Been following this thread like the news last few days lol... some awsome pics, some really cool optimistic people... but even so I doubt I'll be pleasantly surprised when the game comes out. Sigh.

Did that German magazine really say Fenris is a bi option too? I don't want to get my hopes up, but I have to say that I'm definitely enthralled with the idea of both Fenris and Anders being our m/m options. Just imagine all the flirty banter that could happen between both or even Anders/Sebastian XD

For the whole flirting argument you had because of that screenshot I'm pretty sure flirting leads to romance because the achievements have leaked and one of them is

Flirted with one of your party members to begin a romance.

Good to know D: Of course, still it's not... HARD evidence. But, come on people! Can't you see which way Hawke is, erm, blowing? Like a great biotic wind?

We don't really know, but a German player went to go get the magazine and see what it says. So we might know what was really said later on.

I'm still convinced the cannibal stuff was hyperbole. Even if it wasn't, it sounds like Anders' first experiencing summoning Vengeance was a bit more extreme than most others. At least now he's fighting it. And hot mage fighting the demon inside him who makes him into a monster...well, that's hitting all the good kinds of buttons for me.

You're forgetting that in reality it will play out more like A hot* straight mage fighting the perverted bisexual demon inside him. Therefore the only way to keep your relationship going would be helping Vengeance win the fight for control of the body, which means ending up with a psychopathic cannibal forever after, because going the other way will mean the relationship will be over as well.

Apparently the M! magazine says that options for bisexual relationships have been expanded.
