In other news, I've just finished an epic fic reading sesh featuring my new OTP, Anders/Nate. They were always hot, but by gods if they're not just hotter than a thousand suns now.

I'm betting my bottom dollar Seb's an LI. I bet my previous bottom dollar on "Anders" being Anders and we all know how that turned out. So, yes, I'm going with my gut and it says Sebastian, like the other LIs, can be wooed by Hawke regardless of gender, 'cos y' know, THEY'RE ALL BI.

I don't have the comments handy, but I remember reading some by Gaider mentioning an interest in making a DLC companion as an LI, and what is Seb? A DLC companion with his own side quests, banter, separate scenes, etc., just like any other companion. The only difference is that he's DLC. Seb's also a rogue. *AHEM* --> Zevran/rogue/bi; Leliana/rogue/bi; Isabela/rogue/bi--could it be more obvious? He's also quite handsome (well, I think so), and he has a Scottish accent. He's a friggin' walkin' Johanna Lindsey historical romance novel. You don't make characters like that to just stand around and look pretty whilst holding a "YOU CAN LOOK BUT NOT TOUCH!" sign. Puhlease. I wasn't born yesterday, you know.  Wait... was yesterday 26/8/80? *checks her calendar* Nope. Ha, told ya.

That's why Nathaniel is making a cameo in DA2. He's going to get Anders back and there's going to be a nasty love triangle happening between him, Garrett, and Anders.

Did any of the devs give a reason for why the m/m (or s/s in general for that matter, since f/f aren't confirmed either as far as I know) romance is kept secret until release? I'm asking because I'm curious about the official reason. Thanks

I agree with you ACWolfe -- I mean there are many compelling reasons why BioWare is open to releasing a DLC LI, which they themselves have discussed and expressed interest in, and I've laid out those points in several other posts so I won't repeat them here. But, perhaps the most compelling reason: he's romance-bait. The look, the accent, the prince thing. It'd be like Morrigan not being a LI in terms of sheer moe.

No, but people have implied that homophobes would probably kill off the male bi option upon knowing that they swing both ways, which is painfully juvenile if you ask me. But, what do I know? In that case, Anders is better off as the bi LI. At least, you can't get rid of him that fast.

They never gave a reason. So take it to believe everyone's bi, some take it because they didn't want the s/s LI to be discriminated against before hand, some take it because they didn't want a s/s LI, some take it because they feed off our tears. 

So your guess is as good as ours.
