I really hope the sexual abuse angle won't be used again. I know it's common but Zev and Fenris have enough background similarities as it is. 

And @the above post I would be fine without being given a reason. I would like to know why Anders thought he was too good for my male Warden though. <_<  

Edit: I shouldn't be so harsh on poor Anders. He's had it rough. Even if he did corrupt Justice. <_< So I really wouldn't have any problems with him being the bi option. I wouldn't prefer and and would probably cry that it wasn't Fenris and list all my imagined slights with Anders (as I have been doing) but there still wouldn't be anything wrong with him. 

And sorry to anyone I may have offended with my stupid ranting.

As for Anders, I'm really hoping they explain it in a way that doesn't sound cheesy. "I wasn't attracted to men until I met you!", "I really prefer women but you'll do", "The demon made me gay". Make it anything but those and I'll be happy. Or even better, don't explain it like scootermacguffin said.

Which? The pic? Or the smilie? I had no idea that the pic was Hawke and Carver when I replied to you. I thought you were bringing it up in memetic sort of way. It was only when I looked back (with your post in mind) that I realized that it was Carver.

The whole incesty flavor this thread has been picking up in bits and pieces is what I find creepy. Replace either with any other guy that isn't related to them and I'm fine. I don't really like the idea of kissing/****ing brothers (or any other kind of incest regardless of the sex of those involved)...

To me it's just...what's the difference between you and those that feel that homosexuality and the like should be outlawed? It's still consenting adults.

I don't think Bioware's ever used the sexual abuse angle before...unless you're referring to a game other than DA. Not that I'm saying that angle is good, and I sincerely hope they don't use it as the reason for why the character's bi. Also, I disagree that Zev and Fenris are similar in background. The only thing they seem to have in common is being elven.

And in my world, both and Anders and Nate want to secretly screw my male Warden. >_>

A lot of Zevran's dialogue hints at sexual abuse. He was "encouraged" by the Crows. He learned a "massage" (which is when you sleep with him) at the wh***house. Which may or may not be the same wh***house he left at age 7. He was chosen for his looks so he could get close to his targets. 

And then of course is Jack but she was just mess on top of more mess.

I've got no problems with incest as long as it isnt me doing it. Fanart and fics are perfectly fine by me because it isn't real. It's just something a fan has created for people to enjoy. In real life i'm only interested in girls - but in games like this i'll quite happily go create a male character and have him romance a guy. The complete opposite of my personal tastes. That's one of the fun things about games and fan creations

Anyways ontopic: I hope Hawke will be able to sleep with more NPCs that don't work a a brothel. My straight wardens got to deflower Cammen/Gheyna. My gay Wardens felt left out.

I said I don't like it and it makes me uncomfortable. I find it creepy. You don't. If you want to keep posting about it, go ahead, I don't have to like seeing it. I don't have to support it, even though I've been extremely supportive of everything else. Me bringing up that I don't like incest pairings and would rather not see it wasn't off topic after a picture where brothers are hooking up. Sorry if I'm so vanilla and boring that incest is where I draw the line.

This is exactly what I was complaining about earlier! At last count, there were only two Gay NPCs in the game (Darrien and that Prison Guard), or so I heard, and one of them is Origin-specific and so not experienced by the majority of Wardens. It'd be nice to have a few more people who even just respond to m/m banter with something other than discomfort. It was a bit much to feel like Zevran and I were the only bisexual men in Thedas.

And you're right, I'm replying a little sharply given the flaming that you undoubtedly could imagine that I receive. I appologize for that. The fact that you're okay with letting people post about it and aren't telling me to GTFO means a lot to me, it really does. I'd consider it a deep personal favor if, anytime somebody posts fanart/fanfic of those pairings, you can just ignore it completely as I do all the majority of Merrill squeeing. No need to respond with "creepy" or anything, we know where you stand :3 Conversley, of course, us 'fringe shippers' should make reasonable effort not to bait you guys and shove it in your face. I think maybe the best thing from now on would be to link (instead of embed in post) any inter-hawke shipping. My most sincere hope is that everyone can just get along and nobody will feel like they have to boldly defend what they believe in on the interwebs.

Well you, Zev, Dairren and that prison guard at Fort Drakon.  Sadly 2 of those 4 end up dead (or 3 if you kill Zev) and you are one of two (or the only!) bisexual man in Fereldan. There can only be one indeed. XD 

And frankly yes I wanted to be able to hit on Teagan, even if it was only to get a "No." response .But nooo. Instead I can't flirt with him at all. I'm practically invisible. No one cares about my poor Warden.  If he doesn't like Zev he's stuck with the brothel workers (if he didn't get any with Dairren).

*shakes head* reading Fenris background as well as his background story, I see no hint behind it. If anything, he looks like he rather enjoys the cat and mouse chase when he's in it. Seems to have fun taking out those mercenaries, specially the one he nearly killed before.

I've been lurking on this forum for about a month or two, and I just LOVE this thread! The drawings are awesome! =D I draw sometimes too (not expert-good, though), and these drawings inspire me so much.

I don't mind either Anders or Fenris, but the whole flirting thing bugs me. I just don't like having an option to flirt and then get rejected. I mean, why give people who want to get in a m/m (or f/f) relationship with a particular LI character hope? 

I hope all of them are bi, but I wouldn't mind either Anders or Fenris (even if I have never met Anders since I only just got DA:O less than a month ago). However, with all of these rumors from magazines and demo files, it's really cruel of Bioware to tease like this, lol!  

I also feel sorry for those whose characters were not LI's (or, if their fav LI's are not bi). 

I was sad to find out Allistair(sp?) wasn't available as an M/M in DA:O and Kaiden wasn't available in ME. Especially when there's voice files hidden in the game files, grrrr. I have a feeling that Anders file might be the same kind of thing....

But, but---at least, the DA team allows for at least one m/m pairing unlike ME.

So excited for this game!
