okay, i think if Aveline shuts you down it's the same as with samara from mass effect 2...so maybe she loves you but still thinks it's not the right time to enter a new relationship...fenris rejecting you just because youre the wrong gender woudn't make much sense when he had flirted with you before...so either, you can just flirt at the beginning and he quickly starts to say that he's straight or he's not comparable to aveline.

For one, it seems just cruel to set up a flirting option with Fenris only for Hawke to get shot down. Also, Fenris would have to be an idiot/have no sense of self-preservation to turn down my Hawke!

And your argument was also my argument and I got repeatedly told that it was not, in fact, cruel for them to set it up like that. But it is cruel. And pointless.

Every romance character should be a romantic interest for both genders. The excuse that a characters sexuality is an inalienable part of them is irrelevant because Bioware does not have writers that strong and the LGBT people I know would rather a mildly incoherent romance that includes them than one that doesn't anyway.

The lack of homosexual romances in these games is institutionalised homophobia and nothing more and it is completely repugnant.

I'll go with the gentle dickery. Plus our tears amuse him.  And he got sexy fanart out of the deal so he can't complain.  

Though they let that topic go on and on and on without trying to say "uh...don't get so hyped." just like they're doing with the "They're all bi!" crowd. And the exactsame thing is gonna happen. <_<

I hope Anders will be straight at the beginning and because of Justice he gets confused about his sexuality...but in the end he has to confess it's not really Justice who made him fall in love with male Hawke but that he actually started to get feelings for him.
