Actually, Zevran was a proper romance if you got past his outer shell and delved deep enough. But to each their own insightful view. (i for one made him come to me and ask for some tent time, rather then just hitting him up immediately)

Wholeheartedly agree with this. He may be easy, but his romance is probably one of the hardest to start.

And watching the live feed makes me believe that Anders isn't going to be a Zevran clone who will just sleep with anything that moves. He's actually uncertain of himself and quite timid. When they say he's no longer the Anders we knew in Awakening, they meant it.

Some people seem to feel that way about Anders.... But I'm absolutely certain that he'll have some lovely, lovely emotional layers for us to discover. You know, more than just the whole... demon... thing. Seriously, he's gonna pull a Zevran and turn out to be just as complex as any Dragon Age romance. I just know it!

Anders was quite awesome, and the gameplay footage wasn't really spoilery, imo.  At least, it didn't glean any info we hadn't already heard elsewhere. xD

hmmn, that video is making me think Anders is straight ... "find a woman who would look past" - if he was bi, wouldn't that conserve resources and record "someone" not "woman"?

I'm pretty sure Zevran does the same thing. He doesn't tend to mention other men when flirting with the female PC. He does it about twice I think and it's always very cautious. 

Though this new bashful Anders looks appetizing. I think I may actually end up liking him.

No, because he has gender specific flirt lines. Think of it this way, why does Zevran call your male Warden a handsome man, but not your female Warden?

Yeah, I figured it wouldn't be tooooooo bad, but I still wanted to conserve that first time "aww" reaction to what will undoubtedly be his endearingness!

And re: wouldn't they conserve resources by making gender neutral lines... I mean they could. There's definitely something to be said for that approach! But I think if BioWare was going to do it, they'd do it right, and make sure that you really feel like you are your gender... so that Anders is attracted to your womanliness if you are a woman, and your manliness if you are a man, rather than being ambivalent toward your gender. But, what can I say? I'm a dirty optimist.

Well, his recruitment quest itself was something I'd have rather avoided. Beyond that, there wasn't anything that bad at all.
