Well, I prefer Anders because I know him. Fenris is unknown and, thus, boring. But I love Gideon Emery's voice, and I'm sure I'll find Fenris delectible once I really get to know him.

lol yeah a bit, though Fenris wasn't even revealed as a new character when I created my GW. ^^

I can't feel your pain anymore because I have a thing for quiet troubled guys that are starving for some human affection.   

Granted Anders is probaby not like that at all in which case I will be bitterly disappointed but by ra I'm going to pretend he is until I play the game so  I don't end up shutting him down early!

I'm kinda undecided but leaning more toward Anders. Then again, I have no interest in romancing Fenris as a female but would probably romance Anders as either sex. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

its just all the pessimism. I think its hard to trully accept in our hearts that the possibility of being given a choice with our male or female bi LI's is possible. Until someone steps forward and does this, we can only hope so much. But with the overwhelming amount of points people are comming up with for Anders... (and how more and more similar DA2 is to ME *they have a mail system like ME's email system, now? geez...*)

I mean...are elves hated that much? I've always loved them the most of any fantasy race (aside from dragons and dragon-humanoid races ). I don't know. I'm clinging to the fact that we have a visual picture of a flirt moment with Fenris, an open background history to work with (instead of an already done in the past character slightly revamped), and that Gaider has written him.

I have bad luck at loving the ones that are never available or fated to die. Or end up actually a villain. <_< With the past of Alistair and Kaiden...I'm worried this will become a set of three disappointments. (And even more scared that they'll actually let us flirt and be rejected. cause again, i don't like playing games to end up depressed. xD)

PS: Soo...when was it revealed that Fenris has gold?

But honestly, I believe very strongly that all of the LI's are going to be bi (obvious by now, I suppose) and I'm very excited to play the game.  I'm really expecting some variety in my play-throughs with DA2!  That was one of my biggest problems with Origins.  I felt like I was stuck on a loop, repeating the same storyline and choices over and over again.  Same origin (at least three times), same party interactions, same weighty dicisions, same LI, etc...

However, I'm feeling really good about DA2.  I think the voiced protagonist and conversation wheel are well implimented, and knowing the tone of each response is really going to help me play different characters instead of ones that all feel as though they're carbon copies of the same person.  I'm also looking forward to seeing how the story unfolds depending upon Hawke's class (and which sibling gets Ogre smashed.)

All bi LI's?  Those are just brownie points.

I had the same issues with Origins... I played female elf mages who romanced Leliana and did all the same things. They were all Arcane Warriors, and I always used Leliana, Wynne, and Morrigan where ever I went. It wasn't until my most recent (and "canon") playthrough that I branched out at all, and that was only to play the Dalish origin (which I modded so I could still play an Arcane Warrior mage ) and to use other companions more. She's the only one I've played Awakening with.

I'm looking forward to playing some male characters to get my gay-mance on! I just did not like Zevran (sorry, MorningBird )

As a tangent, I thought that Zevran was not easy to ninja-mance at all. Alistair was the one that got me. That guy was head-over-heels for me, and I was all, "Dude, where's your vagina?" And he got sad

IF Anders is the only m/m option, they probably had a good reason why. Sure, variety probably had something to do with it, but I'd like to think it was a matter of who ultimately fits better as a bi option (personality and background included). So, I don't think there's hatred for elves (Fenris is obviously popular), just people who want a different option this time.

And his gold came from that super spoilery thread.

Different option - good, not having non-human bi option - bad.

But they are all bi so...

And also Anders and boobs in Awakening makes him (for me) more similar to Zevran than Fenris being elf XD
