lovely artwork. but I think that just hurt my cause. xD Maybe I'm just anti-angst these days? For some reason, that made me dislike the Anders romance more. xD Not your fault though, Escher. definately a lovely job.

Guys… girls… amigos. If, and this is a huge if, both Anders and Fenris turn out to be bi options (which they won't) then my life will be complete. I will fall to the ground and worship BioWare forever more. I will sing their praises and never doubt again.

My mage!Hawke will be ridiculously happy if he can have Fenris. He'll cry ridiculous little happy tears and save every orphan he possibly can. If my Templar!Hawke can have Anders then it will be painfully sweet and he'll be forced to look beyond the narrow world of the Chantry and Andraste. In short, if this does happen then the world will come to a complete stop just because it can't take that much awesome.

But it won't. Because they're not all bi. And that sucks.

I love David's sense of humor. I adored Alistair. I found him charming and really funny. For me it just didn't work with Anders. It always felt like he tried too hard.

now...I question the Templar Hawke thing. Can that really be done? If you're a warrior, Bethany lives and she and your father are apostates. Considering you live with your family, how could you play a Templar confined to the chantry and andraste's ideals up to the point he falls in love with Anders and is enlightened? [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/whistling.png[/smilie]

Never said he would be enlightened. Never said there would be an ending of happy fluffy clouds and rainbows.

And it can definitely be done. Just because your parents and siblings are one thing does not mean you have to follow like a blind sheep. People have opinions and beliefs and they differ even in families. Plus disagreeing with family members doesn't mean you don't love them anymore. That's what'll make that playtrhough so awesomely conflicting.

Think of it as a Romeo and Juliet kind of thing (to use a cliché example). You want to, but you definitely shouldn't and you KNOW IT. In the end what that Templar decides to is up to the player. Does he keep believing in his faith and everything the Chantry says or does he step back and follow his heart? And I would like to point out that just because he might follow his heart doesn't mean he won't believe in the Maker and Andraste anymore.

Remember that with rivalmance there's a lot more possibilities than before. 

EDIT: And remember that Hawke's not a Templar in the traditional sense. I don't see him guarding mages in the Tower or living in the Chantry so I doubt they'll come knocking on his door repeatedly. Plus, now that I think about it, the German magazine said that who you romance can have a larger effect on the world.

I'm EXTREMELY excited about the rivalmance thing. I felt that was what was lacking with the Zevran romance, because every playthrough romancing him I had to go against my characters personality (if it was a 'good' character, which I usually play) and had to lie and suck up to him to get his approval up. It didn't feel quite right (not a good basis for a relationship).

I read forward from there for a page, then got scared and closed the tab. Considering the comment, there may be more information about what the exact flags are further back in the thread, rather than forward ... but still.

Perhaps someone could post in that thread and ask for someone in the know to let us know what they know, about what they know, if they know anything. *feels dizzy*

We need information on what the exact flags are, what they mean, and who they relate to and in what circumstances, I guess.
