Good call on the mHawkes. They fit really well. A shy mage with Fenris would be so sweet. And of course Anders needs someone to match him snark for snark. And since my first playthrough is invariably a male rogue, I imagine he will be a mixture of redfist/purplesnark with the odd bit of greenpeacemaker thrown in for good luck.

And I never play angry characters in my first playthrough. So this will be quite the departure for me.

Aaaahh, now I'm tempted to change my second evil/red mage m!Hawke (because I always have to have the diplomatic/blue char as my first) into snarky/purple, because he'll be romancing Anders. So instead of "Let's go destroy those oppressive bastards at the Chantry! :devil:" he'd be more like "Poor Meredith. We should go help her remove that huge stick from her a**! :lol:"

Hmm, ruthless or snarky... I can't decide!

There shouldn't be

It's very nice of Bioware to include fans of straight Hawke in the romances too.  I mean, we all know that everyone in Dragon Age 2 is  gay, but it's good that some players have the option of pretending Hawke and friends are heterosexual, however weird that idea is!

And no, they're not fake. Look, Merrill and Hawke's lips meet at the right height ... Garrett would be too tall. (Although I staunchly agree [redacted] looks dreadful.)

Personally I'd rather play Garrett as the straight man for Anders, than try to be snarky. (I'd trim his beard a bit - I prefer the look Alex gives him in the pictures). Maybe a dry British wit to match the accent.

I wanted to play an angry Marian but in the demo, I think she'll just be too nice. Unless the Chantry are mentioned, when she's Rage Girl On Steroids. I wanted to play her as a Protective Older Sister, but alas Beth is taken from you early even if she survives Mordor, er Lothering...

And I'm not playing either unless I get my s/s options.

The new exiled Prince trailer makes hope even more that Sebastian is romance able by MHawke, if so my first character is going to be a snarky male MHawke mage who romances Sebastian on his friendship path.
If he turns out to be strictly straight on the other hand I'm sorely tempted to do my absolutely evil bastard play through first and hope for an equal love mod to be finished once I get around to my second.

Nooo... he's just too pretty not to be romance able they can't do that to us after already denying us Carver.
I just fear he isn't bi but Bioware has remarked several times in the past that they would like to try a dlc romance some time and i have a faint glimmer of hope that this is that time.

Also I'm apparently not the only one to feel this way, Bioware must surely have considered this.
You cannot make someone that cute with a background that practically screams romance novel and expect to get away with not making him romance able.
He's just not bi, however that why I'm a PC gamer so I can install delicious equal love mods.
